"The property is large and easily accommodated our party (9 guests) and could have taken more guests too. The outside space was fantastic and all the children loved the pool. The inside dining area was spacious and the kitchens were well stocked. The sleeping accommodation was great - beds were comfortable and to have air conditioning was a real bonus. The location of the property is fantastic with the beach only a few km away. The owner was super helpful and although doesn’t speak English used...

"Three days before leaving the UK we were contacted by the owner's agent saying we had to leave a large € deposit (now increased). I offered a credit card but they would only accept a cheque or cash. Appealed to owner who agreed to reduce but still had to leave a large amount in cash. Owner pointed out it was in his conditions. This is not communicated in the booking and I eventually I found it hidden, in French, in a sub menu, under House Rules, on the UK website. On departure we had to get to...

"This house in Bègles was perfect for our family reunion. The house was spacious and very well designed. The secluded garden with the pool was in much use when the sun came out. Renée and her brother JanJan were very helpful and accommodating hosts."

Das kleine Häuschen ist top ausgestattet und ermöglicht einen perfekten Urlaub für eine Familie. Ein weiteres Plus sind die sehr netten Vermieter. "

"Lovely house ... lovely location.200 meters from the beach great local shops including marche de parc , well furnished house with plenty of character.. Accommodating 2 families (10 people in total) .. minor inconvenience being having to make up the beds on arrival after a long journey , the quality of the linen did not match the high standard expected for the money spent on renting the property.. also a a lack of towels despite being listed in inventory .. .. However we would all return to this...

"We have just returned from a wonderful week in Lacanau. The villa is so well equipped, it really does have everything you need. It is clean and the beds are comfy. The pool is fantastic and the view of the lake wonderful. The villa is in a quiet, peaceful neighbourhood. The lake is down quite a long, steep hill from the villa - you may need to drive if you have lots of little children or kit. Cycling is so easy, you have to go down the hill and through to Le Moutchic to access the main cycle...

"With 7 members of the party keen to surf every day, this was an ideal location - 10 mins drive from Gurp beach (with a small parade of cafes and restaurants just beyond the campsite). It was also within easy reach (20-30 mins)of the pretty seaside resort of Soulac , supermarkets, petrol stations, local vineyards (with walk-in free tastings) and open markets as well as the bigger surf resort of Hourtin plage (and lake). The beach chalet itself was well equipped (once the broken oven was replaced)...

"Plein centre de Soulac, proche plage et commerce. On peut tout faire à pied et tant mieux parce qu'une fois qu'on a une place de parking pas loin autant la garder. Maison tout équipée et très sympathique pour une famille, la chambre des enfants s'accède par dehors."
