"Dar M&D is such a beautiful place to stay. Situated about halfway up the hill, the building offers amazing views, gorgeously decorated rooms and the rooftop where you can take in the lovely city and mountains. You feel like you have finally arrived in Morocco! The building has been newly renovated and the rooms are stunning. They paid careful attention to all the details when designing the rooms. The beds, the bedding and the linens are of very high quality, which is most appreciated by any traveler. The interior is so gorgeous with all the hand carved trim and gorgeous Moroccan decor. We had the family suite on the third level. The smaller room with the twin beds had the best view. The bathroom had a large shower, plenty of hot water and well thought out details. Nice flat screen TVs in each room for relaxing after wandering around for hours. The “superior king” room next to us looks to be the best room at Mar M&D, incredible views, a fireplace & sitting area! We enjoyed a perfect breakfast on the rooftop every morning. Eggs, fresh vegetables, fruit, pastries, yogurt coffee and juice. Lots of food and such a lovely presentation. Adel was the nicest, most welcoming host. He provided lots of information on the area, where to eat, what to see. He is so kind and made us feel very welcomed. We were amazed that his English was self taught and is perfect! Mar M&D is a perfect choice for travelers with its ideal location, comfortable rooms and welcoming staff. "

"My 2-night stay at Riad Nila was delightful. The venue itself is charming, with pleasant, cozy rooms and a lovely rooftop terrace that has a wonderful 360-degree view of Chefchaouen. The Riad is located deep in the Medina, with immediate access to exquisite handicrafts, and a brisk but worthwhile walk to the Spanish Mosque. The staff were extremely pleasant, helpful and reliable."

"Everything worked in the room, and manager was quite responsive to anything we asked for during our 4 day stay there. His restaurant recommendations were spot-on, especially “Traina,” just steps away. The breakfast included nicely prepared eggs and a cornucopia of various bites. There was more light (larger windows) in the slightly more expensive rooms (#1 & #3), and the beds were queen-sized. This place felt like a home more than a hotel. There are 60 or so steps to the entrance if that bothers you, but it didn’t us. Would seek this place out to stay again for value, location and hospitality again. "

"Everything was very good for this riad. The location was great, although you might get some street noise depending on the room. The room was more like a suite, with a separate sitting area. The shower and the staff were fantastic. The only knock was that the internet was very poor- pretty much unusable. Other than that, exceeded expectations. "
