"My room was very clean, tea and coffee facilities and lovely clean towels , the shower was hot I only went to breakfast the once due work commitments but for a continental breakfast there was plenty , the coffee was delicious , no noise from the pub under the rooms would definitely return and recommend. "

"Did the job but won’t be returning. For example: 1) Electric shower with poor pressure and either boiling hot or lukewarm. 2) Basic bed with thin mattress. 3) No desk. 4) Music blaring from the pub bar until 10:30pm. "

"Nice pub/dining/hotel. Plenty of parking and a large day/nighttime menu. Breakfast was very good. Good friendly atmosphere. Good staff. Rebecca on reception who also managed the bar and dining was very helpful. Also a mention for Christina. Recommended. "

"This is a lovely cosy B&B. The breakfast was brilliant (smoked salmon plus home made marmalade) and service excellent too. My room was very spacious, one small point - the bathroom was so hot, even though I turned off the towel rail socket the rail was still roasting. I can really recommend for business stays around Corby. I'd love to bring my wife here for a short stay to explore Rutland. "

"Good old fashioned pub with accommodation. Friendly and polite staff Great breakfast and had excellent evening meal on one night of our two night stay. Rooms clean and comfortable. We have stayed here before and will return."

"The Red Lion was "going under new ownership" upon our arrival. We were the first customers. The facility was historic and quaint. The food was good although it was obvious things were just getting going. I felt safe and it was nice to be in a lovely English village for the evening. Thank you David, for your conversation and consideration."

"Hotels.com didn’t make me aware that the hotel was closed, the owners of the hotel were not expecting guests, as they were refurbishing the hotel, fortunately the hotel owners were great and arranged a room for me to stay. The hotel is in a good location to explore Rutland Water, I would be happy to stay again but wouldn’t book through Hotels.com"

"We stayed in room 2 which was above the bar we had a lot of noise until it closed. Handy for the train station. Breakfast was a disappointment, it had been overcooked, bacon was hard egg yolk was hard and toast was like eating crackers"
