"We traveled through 6 cities in Morocco and the Taj was our favorite hotel, which frankly made the experience at Chefchaouen, a low economic village. It’s a stunning hotel and nothing short of a 5 star rating as far as aesthetics and architecture goes. It’s clean and our junior suite offered stunning views where we had breakfast, dinner, and tea throughout the day. The parking lot makes it accessible to head up and down to town without climbing the stairs, although that only took 15-20 minutes. •The amenities: some under construction still as it’s a new hotel. We did hang at the pool one of the days and it’s unusable. It’s not heated, but the cold tiles keep it freezing cold. It’s more of a cold plunge. •The staff: helpful, though some from the dining restaurant are unfriendly. If this is a consideration to you - please note that the Taj is not a part of ethical traveling. You’re staying in a low economic village where people struggle to earn $1 USD, while paying $200+ per night for the hotel. We heavily felt the discrepancy in expense VS town’s economy and it made us quite sad. "

"Chefchouen! A favorite place to visit! This Riad was very comfortable and beautiful. It’s nestled in a quiet area right off the main market area. It is quite a climb up stairs to get to the door. But we had many staff ready and willing to grab your luggage and help you get up to the Riad. Chefchouen is the Blue Pearl! We loved this city. More of a small town feel. Every Riad will welcome you with the tea service. WE LOVED THE MINT TEA!! This Riad is small and cozy. The staff is so kind and hospitable. It’s a very easy and short walk to shopping area. You definitely will not go wrong staying here. Our room was very nice and comfortable. "

"We loved our stay at Riad Alhambra!! The room was beautiful with a comfortable bed and very nice small balcony. The terrace offered a quiet and very gorgeous view of Chefchaouen. We enjoyed a delightful lunch and a delicious breakfast. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. It was in an excellent location for enjoying the old city. Would highly recommend and I hope I can visit again!"

"We had 1 night at Iguana Azul. Even before our arrival we were welcomed to iguana Azul and advised of activities they could help arrange. Walid went out of his way to make our stay smooth and comfortable. He and Jabeer were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing. Location is very central yet quiet. "

"We stayed here out of season, early April Firstly the staff, as always in Morocco are so friendly and go out of their way to help you with anything. The location of the apartments are idyllic, the scenery of the mountains and neighbouring Chefchaouen is stunning. However we were not entirely happy with our stay as we were given a room with no working air con, when we asked for some heaters we were given 1 broken one. It was extremely cold in the night. We were offered to move to another room the next day but as we were only staying 1 more night it seemed pointless moving all our bags. The breakfast buffet was ok but not much hot food options and some things were cold. We purchased 2 bottles of chocolate milk for the kids and couldnt believe when they charged us almost £5, when we questioned why so much they said because they have to bring it from far. Its 15 mins to Chefchaouen town. It seems they are a 3* accommodation trying to charge 5* prices which when out of season and no other facilities available is quite bad. "

"Quality of craftsmanship and artistry are outstanding. Those who rebuilt this property have good taste, sophistication, and vision. Saber is a great host, speaks English as if it was his first language. He gave us a map and indicated all things to do and see. Our room was comfortable and beautiful. Great, quiet AC and heat. Heated bed is great on a cooler night. Kind and helpful team made our stay memorable."
