Rhele's Roost

Are you ready for sixties nostalgia? Our 2-bedroom, 1-bath cottage has an eclectic, retro style all its own. Just 500 steps to our Lake Michigan access point, and backyard hiking access to Silver Lake Dunes State Park, our cottage is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts.

Our neighborhood is at the North West corner of the Silver Lake Dunes ORV Park.

Artsy décor, and furnishings, and an electric blue kitchen welcome you inside, while a deck and pergola provide comfortable outdoor dining.

If you’re in the mood for a day trip, check out the nearby historic town of Ludington.

Our Safari tent adds a 3rd room and will offer a unique experience. (Seasonal Availability)

A queen size bed and cozy feel. The small deck overlooks the main house.

Use of the tent requires an 8 person reservation.

We're open all year!

Safety and Security - There is a security camera monitoring the driveway entrance and a camera at the back of the house monitoring the back yard and fire pit.

Great location
This was a small cozy cabin with everything we needed and at a great location. It was a quick walk to beach and sand dunes and a short drive to the parks, and town. Family had a great time!

Great Getaway
Our stay was wonderful. The home is great, inside and out. The views of Lake Michigan from the nieghborhood and beach are amazing. Also, very close to Silver Lake and the dunes. Erick is a terrific host.

Great Location
Great location if you are looking for a place close to a beautiful beach spot on lake Michigan. We were right next to our friend's rental and it could not have worked out better! The yard was fantastic and the interior was as described in posting.

The house was very cute and the host ensured our stay was great. The only thing I would warn folks about is that there is no cell service with ATT there but the wifi at the house is great and you can use that to make calls.

Rhele's Roost Review
This home was exactly what we needed for our week at lake Michigan. It fit our family of five perfectly. We were able to walk to the beach and hike on the dunes every day. The host was kind and generous. The home and property were clean and well kept.

All you could need
Such a nice little place. Very clean and everything worked as intended. The fire pit in the back yard is a nice addition. Be sure to watch the sunset and check out the stars via the sand dune. Verizon doesn’t have cell service here but the wifi is very strong.

This place is a wonderful place to stay. The decor is so cute. There’s everything you’ll need to be comfortable. Erick is a great host and really accommodating. The location is nice and the kids will enjoy exploring the dunes up the hill in the back yard. You can’t go wrong booking Rhele’s Roost.

Great Getaway
Rhele's Roost provided a cozy getaway for me and my family over Labor Day. Erick is a terrific host and Rhele's Roost is situated in beautiful lakeside neighborhood with stunning views of Lake Michigan and Sliver Lake Dunes just down the street! Highly recommend.

Juniper beach is the perfect area to stay!
Dune trails and adventures are in the back yard at this cute little cottage. The beach is just a short walk and the sunsets are amazing. Eric was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. The wooded roads leading to the home was magical to walk down to see deer and fawns. We will stay again

Good Place
It a nice small house for a 3 day weekend. The backyard is basically the sand dunes as there a dirt/sand dune in the back yard to climb. You will hear the dune ORV cars when the ORV park is open. Not super loud but you will notice that if you use the fire pit or open the windows. Land owner was quick to respond and professional.

This cabin was just what we were looking for to test and recharge for a few days. It was cute and cozy with everything we needed. Being the off season, it was quite and secluded. Being able to watch the sunset from the top of a dune, surrounded by other dunes, and being the only people there was an amazing experience.

Great property for vacation!
The house was clean and comfortable- just as described in the listing. We enjoyed the amenities such as a/c, wifi, and the patio. Location was great for beautiful walks to Lake Michigan. The dune lovers in our family could leave to hang out on the sand, while the beach lovers could walk to the dunes beach to play, then get picked up for a ride home, to Whippy Dip or the Chicken Shack. The driveway had just enough room for our truck, jeep, and 24’ (total length) trailer.

Definitely recommend this place. You won’t be disappointed.
We had an amazing stay. Erick welcomed us with nothing but kindness. The home is well-cared for inside and out. It is cozy but never felt small or cramped. We had everything we needed to be comfortable and really enjoyed lounging on the patio and around the campfire. There are neighbors but you would never know; there is plenty of privacy. There is also beach and dune access from walking distance so you can enjoy the beautiful sunsets over Lake Michigan. You can also get into town within 10 minutes to enjoy all that Silver Lake has to offer. We would stay here again anytime and want to thank Erick for such an amazing stay!

Great private retreat
Awesome off the beaten path location in a private community but very close to dune access, Mears, Hart, Pentwater, etc. Walking distance to the Lake. We were concerned about dune noise beforehand (with our 3 kids under 6) but honestly never even heard orv noise. Host was very communicative & ready to help (we had no issues though). A/C & internet (got 200mbs+) both worked without issue. Would stay again.

Woods, Sand, and Water within blocks of each other!
This property had everything I needed plus a little extra charm. It was close to silver lake dune park. Erick was on point with all questions. He would reach out just to ask how the stay was going. Incredible Spot
Couldn’t have been happier with this little house. We utilized the dune trail and the beach every single day. The sunsets were pristine. This place had everything we could’ve wanted in a vacation spot.
