This beautiful Lake Michigan beachfront cottage has been recently remodeled and is ready for you and your group to enjoy time together on the shores of Lake Michigan. The home has 4 bedrooms, 2 full baths, 2 fully equipped kitchens and 2 living room areas and dining spaces. The upper level has expansive 16 foot sliders and transom windows, creating a wall of windows to enjoy the sights and sounds, especially sunsets over Lake Michigan. New flooring, kitchen updates including a dishwasher, granite countertops and a brand new A/C system have also been added.
There are 2 levels in this home that have their own separate entrances, providing a unique ability to have privacy if vacationing with multiple families. Each level of the home has 2 bedrooms with queen-sized beds, a full bathroom with a shower, a kitchen, a living room with a sofa bed, and a dining table/chairs. The levels are connected by an exterior stairway.
The upper dining room table will comfortably seat 8 people, plus there are 3 bar stools at the counter and 2 additional folding chairs. The open concept living space allows everyo
ne to be together, whether cooking, playing games or just hanging out.
All bath towels, kitchen towels, bed linens and pillows are provided. Beach towels are not provided.
Hand soap and bar soap is provided for each bathroom. Dishwasher soap, liquid dish soap and hand soap is provided for each kitchen. 2 paper towel rolls and trash bags per kitchen and 2 toilet paper rolls per bathroom are provided to get you started.
There is a washer/dryer on the lower level, just bring your own laundry soap.
When you step out onto the spacious deck, you'll hear the waves and see the gorgeous panoramic views of Lake Michigan. Relax in the comfortable deck furniture or take a short stroll down the boardwalk towards the lake. Swing in the large wooden swing or enjoy a cup of coffee in the 2-seater Adirondack chairs/table which both overlook the water and beach below.
We have a low bluff (only 13 steps) for easy access to our 60 feet of private beach frontage! Directly next door to the north, is Golden Township Park, a public access beach. Silver Lake drains into Lake Michigan by way of Silver Creek which is part of the township park. The water from the creek is often warmer than Lake Michigan creating a popular place for the kids to play! Little Sable Lighthouse is visible from our beach and just a short walk to the south, or you can walk to the north, cross over the creek and have miles of Silver Lake State Park's pristine beach to enjoy.
If you're looking for something to do in the water, we have a 2 individual kayaks, a tandem kayak, 2 SUPs, and a canoe available for your use. We have several life jackets in youth to adult sizes.
There are 4 chaise lounge chairs for relaxing in the sun, and many beach chairs to sit down by the water. We have ladder golf, corn hole, and spike ball as well as lots of sand toys for the kids. Games and puzzles are inside when you're ready to take a break from the sun.
When it's meal time, there's a 6 burner gas grill with 2 side burners to accommodate large groups. Enjoy your meals around the large counter-height table on the deck with (6) swivel cushioned chairs. A picnic table is located outside the lower level for additional surface area for meals or playing games.
Enjoy a fire in the fire pit or sit around the cozy fire table on the deck. Either way, be sure to check out the stars at night! Oh, and did we mention the sunsets? They're incredible, and you'll have a front row seat for each one!
