Incredible Lake Michigan Home with over 1/2 mile of public beach and amazing views of Little Sable Lighthouse. This gorgeous custom built home is built among the soft sand dunes of Mears Michigan and designed to take advantage of the beautiful views of Lake Michigan as well as the views of Little Sable Lighthouse across the street. Home is engineered to recreate the homes frequently built to house the light keepers for lighthouses built during the latter 1/2 of the 1800's along the shore of Michigan's Great Lakes. Enjoy over a 1/2 mile of soft, sandy Lake Michigan Beach that is literally directly across this quiet dead end street. Utilize the amazing powered beach wagon to effortlessly transport all your beach toys, chairs, umbrellas, food, ice cold drinks and even your kayaks and paddle boards from the home to the waters edge. Toes can be from the door to the water in 4 minutes and buried in the sand dunes right off the amazing wrap around deck. Whether you are relaxing on the deck, enjoying a gathering around the fire pit, entertaining in the living room, enjoying a movie and games in the walkout basement or hanging out in the 4th story crow's nest, you'll enjoy the most amazing views of one of Michigan's most iconic lighthouses from nearly every room in this quality home.
Little Sable Lighthouse was constructed in 1874 and is among the top 5 tallest lighthouses in Michigan at 107 feet. Visitors can stop by the small gift shop located in the public parking lot of the lighthouse to purchase a souvenir or pay a small fee to climb the internal staircase of Little Sable and get an amazing panoramic view of Lake Michigan and the surrounding dunes.
Enjoy a truly unique experience at Silver Lake Sand Dunes state park which is only a few miles north. This is one of the few locations in the united states which permits 4x4's to ride on the dunes and it has the added bonus permitting vacationers to pull their 4x4 up to an amazing Lake Michigan beach that is only accessible by 4x4 drivers and their companions.

Beautiful house on the water
This house is beautiful. We’ve stayed here multiple times and plan on coming back. Just walk across some sand and your at the water. You also can look out and watch the sunsets over the lighthouse. The house is so clean and well appointed. The owners are responsive and can tell they take great care of the house.

Amazing location!
Loved this property right next to the lighthouse. Easy access to the beach but close to Silver Lake and all the activities nearby. Property was very comfortable and well stocked with high-end amenities- we couldn’t get enough of Sue’s perfect espresso blend! Beach wagon made transport easy! Thanks for a great stay!

An amazing place to stay!
This was the cleanest VRBO we have ever used. The owners thought of everything . . . comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchen (cooking) equipment, entertainment/ games for all ages, amazing views from the crows nest, quiet little reading nooks, a quick walk to the beach, along with a gated deck for our dogs that allows everyone to relax, sit back and enjoy the beautiful sunsets!

Beautiful Views of Lake Michigan
This is the third time we’ve stayed at one of their properties, our first at this house. As with their other property, they spare no expense in thinking of everything to make our stay perfect. Walks along the beach was close as was a number of nature preserves we explored. Another great stay for us with our GSD’s! Thanks for making our vacation perfect!

A great family get-away
We loved our stay at the Lighthouse villa. The house is very comfortable and fully stocked with anything you might need. Even the little things like nice wine glasses. We especially appreciated being able to bring our dogs with us to enjoy walking on the beach. The deck has great furniture to relax on and it is enclosed so that the dogs could sit outside with us (suitable for larger dogs). The Villa is a little oasis that you won't want to leave.

Wow! This is such an amazing, beautiful house! The amenities are beyond any expectation. Everything you could possible use and more! The location is breathtaking. I could have just sat on the deck all day. And being on a dead-end street make it so quiet. We already booked it for next summer.

My family and I had an amazing time. The house was gorgeous, clean, and had pretty much everything you would need for a stay. It was spacious with beautiful views and in a great location. I loved the porch, the beds were comfy, my husband fell in love with the coffee maker and the TV. I honestly don’t have anything negative to say. I hope we can make it back some day.

30 year wedding anniversary family trip
We had an awesome family trip with our three children and their spouses. Home was in a great spot to do all our favorite things. Loved the home and the many extras. Only downside was the grill being unusable. We did however grill on the fire pit and made our steaks and shish kabob work. Loved, loved, loved the house and area.

Amazing Beachhouse
The house was a perfect setting. Every room had a beautiful view…dunes, lake and lighthouse. The deck was great for sunsets and star gazing. The kitchen was well equipped. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. For a house that allows a dog, you would never know a dog was there. The house was clean and no doggie smell. Looking forward to our return visit. This is a well appointed beach home with attentive hosts. For day trips, consider driving south to the maritime museum in Muskegon, where you get to walk aboard the USS Silversides submarine. We also paid for a tour at Country Dairy and had time to interact with recently born calves. If you have star gazers in the family, the wrap-around deck is great and you may even get to see the northern lights (aurora borealis)!

Family Getaway
We had our first family vacation here and it was wonderful! The house was everything we imagined it would be. It had great wifi service. My kids loved the toys and huge tv. Cooking on a gas stove was fun! The walk to the beach was amazing! I loved the guidebook in the coffee table. I am not familiar with small lake towns and didn't realize we would not have reliable cell service. Something to keep in mind if you need that.

I can't say enough good things about this place. Beautiful, immaculate and super location!! The hosts thought of everything! The beach wagon was a lifesaver and we didn't need anything we brought. Their beach equipment was top quality and can't believe how all details were taken care of. It seemed more like getting to use your rich relative's place and not a rental. It is close to a lot of activities but seems so private. Perfect! Thanks for letting us share this amazing home!
