*SNOWMOBILE TRAILS - outside of Curtis (UP-457) & Newberry (UP-9)
*DOGS are WELCOMED

Stone House is a simple, ranch-style home in McMillan, Michigan, just off MI-28. With convenient day trips to the Pictured Rocks National Lake Shore (West) and Tahquamenon Falls (NE), this four (4) bedrooms and 2 bathrooms is a great place to return to at night.

Note: There are 2 steps to enter the Master Bedroom.

Stone House has ample back yard space overlooking East Lake, with eight (8) Adirondack chairs circling the fire pit, and an adult swing to watch the sunsets. Keep in mind that during the winter the fire pit might become covered in snow.

The fully-equipped kitchen, including a dishwasher and a master bedroom with a California King bed with a wide view of the water provide conveniences which add to the ease of a vacation. The dining room area seats 8 people around the table.

NOTE: There is a step between the living room and dining area.

Not only is the outside privacy ideal, yet Stone House has four (4) bedrooms on either side of the kitchen. Sharing with another family of 4 is an option. Both bedrooms with twin beds can be converted to kings for your convenience. Just let the office know when you book, so we can have the beds converted upon your arrival.

For the winter warriors, the 2 car garage guests may use one garage bay. (The garage is NOT heated).

So, grab the dog, and come and enjoy East Lake! With gorgeous sunsets resting on the pleasant all-sports lake, you will create memories to cherish. There is a simple (lawn chairs on deck) pontoon boat with an electric motor for your sole use too. A slow stroll around East Lake with the electric motor is a great way to watch the sunset descend.

Stone House Review
Exterior pictures are out of date as the outside has not been maintained. Weeds overgrown and deck needs to be stained. Interior was not clean. Hair on the wall in the shower, toilet exterior dirty and rice in the sink kitchen sink drain trap. Overall dissapointed in this property.

Nice cabin, plenty of space for 5 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 dogs, everyone had their own bed! Main bathroom was very nice the smaller bathroom has a very very tiny shower but glad to have the extra toilet. Nice, quiet and central to many exploring options. Wished the deck would have had a roof over it as the sun beating on it when grilling or just sitting would have been better since no shade, just a suggestion 😉

We stayed here with family on a mini-vacation. The lake was beautiful, the yard inviting, and the inside was cozy. There were a couple small issues when we arrived, but the communication from the property manager was great! We would stay here again.

Two Paws Up!
My wife, two Labradors and I had a wonderful stay at the Stone House. The location was convenient to many local attractions. The house exceeded our expectations! Plenty of room, decent WIFI, AC for the hot days. There were water toys for the lake. Our dogs loved swimming in the lake each day and taking walks. It's difficult to find a rental that will allow two larger dogs and we are grateful to have found this place. We will happily return to Stone House for another visit.

Didn’t want to leave!!
We loved our stay!! We came up for along weekend and first impression was it is the perfect spot and then we walked in and it seriously felt like home. The master bedroom has the perfect view of the water. Nice waterfront property and you’re not on top of your neighbors! The boys had a good time fishing and the girls relaxed by the fire pit. Will be back!

We had a great time and would definitely stay here again. The property and lake are beautiful and the house is very roomy for large families. We came for ice fishing and caught over 20 pike in a few days. Management was also very responsive when we had a question.

Property is a great location for day trips. House was clean and amenities were as described in the information. We chose this location for its central location between Munising and Tahquamenon Falls. Our last day was spent with a boat ride and an all-day bonfire and enjoying the beautiful location. The colors around the lake were stunning. Definitely recommend this property

Everything you could need was there. The home looked a little more outdated in certain areas than I thought from the photos. But the decor was nice. I especially liked the sitting area outside around the fire pit. It would be nice if some of the foliage was thinned out to see more of the lake.

Needs some TLC.
The location, lake and size of the home are all great. My issue was the cleanliness and upkeep of the property. All of which could be easily resolved. The lawn wasn’t mowed and had 12” weeds. All of windows had spiderwebs and bugs in them. I wouldn’t mind so much but you have to open them because there is no A/C. We knew about that just not all of the spiders and bugs. The master bedroom has a slider that was boarded up due to the steps being in disrepair. The house is either musty or smells of old cigarette smoke. Again, this is a great place but needs some TLC.

Our family and dogs had such a great time in this house on the lake. It was our second time here and we will definitely be back! Loved having the space to spread out in this roomy cottage. It was clean and provided the necessary amenities to make us feel at home. An extra bonus was taking the pontoon out to fish or for a relaxing cruise around the lake.

Super Clean & Perfect
This house exceeded my expectations! The house was super clean, roomy, perfectly decorated and well organized. They thought of everything. I felt like I was home. The property also had everything (and more) that you’d like, to enjoy the lake (which was only steps from the back door). This will be our “go-to” when we return to the UP! Just lovely. Everyone (7 adults, 1 toddler) was so happy with it!

Great place to get away
We had an amazing stay at the Stone Cottage. 8 of us stayed comfortably - 4 adults, 2 children, and our 2 dogs. The property was clean and exactly as described in the listing. The yard is very private. It was a short walk to the little store (which had much more than I had expected) and to a restaurant. It is just a few miles from North Manistique lake and a few miles further to the other Manistique lakes which have nice swimming areas. We were able to use the pontoon boat (if it is available, bring folding chairs to sit on on the boat) multiple times a day for just relaxing and for fishing. We even saw a bald eagle! We brought our own inflatable paddle boards and kayaks which worked wonderfully in the small lake. Our dogs had plenty of room to run around and to swim. The lake does have a murky bottom and a bit of sea grass. The Stone Cottage is within an hour of many of the popular UP destinations. It was about an hour to Pictured Rocks and about 40 minutes to Tahquammenon Falls. Newberry is just 10 minutes away and has a full grocery store, a couple ice cream shops, and even a movie theater. We would definitely stay here again if we vacation in the UP.

We loved having the market walking distance! The canoe and dock and deck access plus the firepit ready and filled for fire! Swings a plus We! We didn't get to use any of it as it rained it would have been fabulous! The beds were so comfortable with a ton of good linens and blankets soft clean and comfy. The huge screen in the living room great Netflix! The furniture very rustic and comfy. The improvements would be add at least 1 comfy rocker as there is only 4 comfy seats in the family room. The day bed hard as a rock. Lol!
