Treat yourself to an escape from urban crowds and pressures, and come unwind at The Tree House, centrally located in Massanutten Resort, Virginia.

The Tree House is very warm and inviting, with comfortable furnishings offering a classic retro mid-century modern decor. But we have not forgotten modern conveniences...free wifi, 52" cable flat screen TV, Blueray DVD, stereo with aux cord, dishwasher, washer/dryer, air conditioning, hairdryer, iron, etc.

Main level offers a spacious great room and a dining area that seats 10 (a vacation home should offer a dining table that seats everyone!). Outdoor amenities include a lovely screen porch, Weber gas grill (propane provided), and expansive decking. It's a perfect way to end a day of skiing or golf!!

Sleeping for 10. The 5 bedrooms each sleep 2 people and offer the following configuration:

Top floor has 3 bedrooms:

*Queen Master

*Queen

*(2) XL twins

Lower level has 2 bedrooms:

*King

*King

The beds are all made up with fresh linens made up ready for you - we take these extra steps to make your stay be the best it can be!

The kitchen boasts anything a chef could need - offering both Keurig and drip coffee makers, toaster oven, blender, hot water kettle, ice maker, and microwave. And we make it easy: house includes all the “under the kitchen sink” necessities. So we keep stocked for our guests: starter paper towels and toilet paper, dish soap, scrubbies/sponges, dishwasher detergent, dish towels, napkins, trash bags, disinfectant cleaner, coffee filters, tin foil, saran wrap, baggies, cooking spray, salt/pepper, and laundry detergent. This is in addition to linens, pillows, and extra blankets.

One final benefit of renting from us is our 10-page "House Info Sheet." It details everything about the house, resort, restaurants, shopping, wineries, hiking, emergency locations and even where to buy the cheapest gas! Whether you have been to Massanutten or not, you will find all sorts of insider information on how to get the most out of your vacation!

Ideally located in the resort, inside the guard gates less than 5 minutes from on-site resort amenities: skiing, year-round tubing hill, ice skating, zipline, indoor/outdoor waterpark (biggest on the East Coast!), terrific hiking, golf courses, driving range, horseback riding, mini golf, racecars, bumper cars, playgrounds, outdoor pool, summer concerts, skateboard park, and more! Some amenities are weather dependent. Please check the resort website for the up-to-date 2021 schedule.

The community pool is open Memorial Day through Labor Day weekends. We have will purchased a 'renters pool pass' which allows guest access without the homeowner present. Bring pass and entry fee - $6 per person/day (5yo and under free) with in and out privileges. It is a lovely pool with diving board, lounging space and well-stocked snack bar. The Ice Cream stand is also there. Not all homes offer the pool access, so be sure to ask if this is an amenity you plan to use.

Nice Place Needs Maintenance
Very nice roomy house in a good location. Would have given 5 stars except for some simple maintenance gaps. For example, a dozen or more blown out light bulbs, a kitchen faucet handle that kept falling off, a light switch plate missing all 4 screws (fell on the floor when you turn on the light), and a few other minor things that you'd fix immediately in your own home.

Great week in the mountains
This property met all of our expectations. We had a rotating set of guests with either 5 or 6 people at any given time. There was plenty of space for everyone and a comfortable gathering spaces in the porch, the deck, and the living room. The beds were all comfortable. (no sagging mattresses) Kitchen was well stocked with utinsiles, plates, pots, coffee maker etc. Plenty of hot water. Temperature was easy to adjust. Location was central - easy to get to resort amenities. The house was in a developed area, but situated in a wooded area so felt very private. I would definitely consider staying again.

Big Family Getaway
We took three families on this trip and everyone had a bed to sleep in and a bathroom for their own family. The upper level has three bedrooms and two bathrooms, The middle level has a half bath, the kitchen, a living room, and a dining room. The lower level has two bedrooms, a full bathroom, and a living room of its own. I love to cook, so it was nice to have all the pots and pans and plates necessary for several meals in. The dining table is nice and big and all of us were able to gather around for food and visiting. The only thing that I wasn’t prepared for the steepness of the driveway. Luckily there is room to park on the edge of the cul-de-sac up above on the street level; but, you do have to be very careful walking down the driveway getting into the house. The backyard is right up next to the forest and behind that is one of the main roads, so there is a bit of traffic noise when you’re out back; but, we thoroughly enjoyed the screened in porch and the deck- patio with its big grill on the middle level!

Nice Place for a Family to Enjoy
Our family stayed here (ages 2-70+) and had a great time. Our favorite spot in the house was the screened in porch which was comfortable even on a hot day (shade and ceiling fan). The kitchen and grill worked well for us. We appreciated the Keurig pods and tea bags. It was super convenient to have laundry (and laundry soap) right there. There is no soap in the showers so be sure to bring your own. We did not use the hot tub so I can't give feedback about that. There were a couple maintenance issues (ex: several light bulbs need to be replaced, one squeaky bed, etc.) but I have messaged the property manager to let him know so I would expect the issues will be fixed quickly. The driveway is steep but there is plenty of parking available just off the street if you prefer. We would certainly stay here again!

Great stay
House was nicely decorated and laid out , with 3 levels. 3 bedrooms upstairs and 2 on the lower . Kitchen, living room and dining was spacious. Plenty of room for the 6 of us. Beds were comfortable.Location was good for visiting local attractions. A few small maintenance issues which didn't bother us enough to mention - a few light bulbs were out and the kitchen sink faucet handle was loose.

Great Stay (Again)
We love “The Tree House”. The house is great for our group of 7 adults and two kids. The master closet is so large it can even serve as a great quiet room for a toddler in a playpen. The drive isn’t too steep and there is plenty of parking for several cars in it and on the side at the entrance. The hot tub was a great spot to ease the sore muscles at the end of the day and we all lived seeing the deer in the woods behind the house.

Everything anyone needs for a stress free mini vacation
The house was clean and very well-appointed. The only problem was spouse had to sleep on the sofa because she was handicapped, Of course, we forgot to ask if a bedroom was on the first floor. We used the grill frequently and ate outside. Did not use a television or hot tub as we were only there for 3 nights. We have recommended the house to our Florida family.
