Welcome to the Red Fox Den, a great family-friendly home in Massanutten Resort.

This house is located on a quiet cul-de-sac and has a secluded and wooded back yard that can be enjoyed from the back deck. Relax in a comfortable house with wifi and smart tv or enjoy some family time playing pool (mini kid table), Atari games, or board games.

We have 3 bedrooms. 1 king with bathroom, 1 queen. And one room with a bunk-full bed on top for kids under 100 lbs, and a queen bed on the bottom. We welcome well behaved pets. Damages are subject to inspection and charge.

The area is full of hiking, biking, exploring, historical landmarks, breweries/ wineries, skiing, golf, water park, go karts, and so many more minutes from the house.

There’s a garage place to store your skis/snowboards, bicycles, or just to hangout to play games. There is a 2 player basketball arcade game in the garage.

Other things to note

The house is about 2 miles from the top of the mountain where you will find the ski slopes, snow tubing, the family adventure park, and more. There are 4 playgrounds within a 3-4 mile radius, some with picnic pavilions and gas or charcoal grills available. There are numerous tennis courts around the resort as well. The house is located less than 3 miles from the indoor/outdoor water park that is open year-round. At the resort, there are also multiple bars and restaurants. There are also a number of local bars and restaurants in the nearby town(s)! You will also find numerous wineries and breweries in the local area within a 30-minute drive.

Pool pass for MPOA Massanutten properties owner association pool on the mountain, $6 fee for use per guest-paid at pool. Pool pass to be returned at end of stay or fee of $50 if lost.

20 min drive to JMU. Great for JMU events, family week, and graduations! The garage also has a 60amp L2 Electric Vehicle charger

Wonderful weekend
This home was perfect for 4 adults and 4 children. The beds were comfy, there were plenty of amenities provided and the home was clean. It was also nice to not have a mile long to do list for check out. Very conveniently located near the slopes. Overall we definitely would stay here again!

This place is nice and clean. Our family had a quiet and relaxed time. It is very close to everywhere, ski, water park etc. the owner is very helpful in fixing any problems that we have. We will definitely come back for our next winter and summer break.

Perfect mountain getaway
We spent the best weekend here with friends. 4 adults/4 kids + dog. House is exactly as described and spotless!! Well equipped bathrooms and kitchen- always a nice touch. The kids loved the playroom downstairs and all the toys/games. Duane was very quick to respond and flexible. Absolutely will stay here again when we come back to Massanutten!

Great Spot
The house was as listed, but we enjoyed it even more. It was clean, cozy, and tucked away on a quiet cul-de-sac. We loved seeing deer in the yard in the mornings. There are plenty of games to keep kids entertained, a smart tv in the living room, and a good amount of information about the surrounding area on the counter when you check in. We would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable getaway
This property was very clean and comfortable. Had all the amenities we needed for our weekend getaway. Ease of access both to the house and the security also. Serene area and quiet while watching the wildlife off the back deck. Owner was super helpful and quick and easy to communicate with. I highly recommend this property if staying in or around the Massanutten Reaort area.

Home away from home!
There are so many wonderful things I can say about our stay. I have stayed at many rental homes in the past but this one has by far been the best, and it truly felt like home! The hosts were kind and welcoming. The home was very clean and the neighborhood was beautiful. (Perfect for evening walks) Having to move my daughter into JMU was not easy but being able to have a weekend together with our family made it special. Highly recommend the Red Fox Den, we will be back again!

Little Gem in the Resort
We had a wonderful stay at this cozy home within the Massanutten Resort. The house was clean and comfortable for our family of 5 adults and 1 young boy. The owners made us feel very welcome with snacks, bowls for our little doggo, coffees, towels, and soaps in the shower. Included were toilet paper and paper towels. The kitchen is nicely equipped, the beds are super comfy and check-in was a breeze! The owner was extremely responsive, but to be honest, we didn't have to contact him much. Everything went according to plan. Not far from the ski lodge, we had a great ski weekend and would definitely stay here again!

Cozy Home Great for Kids
We enjoyed our stay in this cozy mountain home. It was clean, safe, and comfortable and had everything we needed for a weekend with two busy babies under 2. The host already had a travel crib set up in the primary bedroom for us when we arrived, and provided us with thoughtful snacks and farm-fresh eggs! Check in and access were easy, and the host was accessible by text as needed. We saw a variety of wildlife out and about in the neighborhood to everyone's delight. Convenient to Massanutten, CrossKeys, Harrisonburg with groceries (Food Lion) 10 minutes away. The queen size bed was firmer than we like, and the walls were thin (easy to hear babies crying), but we would absolutely stay here again!

Above and Beyond
This property is comfortable, clean and well equipped. Our host went above and beyond when we expressed concern about air quality because of recent forest fires. He went to the rental and installed a HIPPA filter to eliminate any smoke before our arrival and sent us reports on location of fires and percent under control. Rain also helped clear the air. We enjoyed a hike in the Shenandoah Mts, and went to the petting farm. The boys went to the water park while the girls enjoyed the arboretum and photographing wildflowers. In the evening there was a small pool table, darts and a basketball “arcade” to enjoy. All in all, everyone had fun.

This was the perfect home for us
The host is very thoughtful. Leaving water and food bowls out for our dogs. Along with play and chew toys. Pups were very comfortable and welcome there There was a welcome sign and gift basket for my family to enjoy. And the house was just across the street from my family who live there Had a minor issue with the thermostat and the host took immediate action and also offered us a few alternatives until the problem was fixed. He was so great about it and such a pleasure to deal with We will definitely try to stay here again on our next visit Thank you, Duane for opening your home to us and making us so welcoming

Convenient location, great for getaway
Came up to Massanutten for a fling golf trip. Needed an extra day and they accommodated. Additionally arrived early, and they also accommodated. Great WiFi, and living setup. In unit laundry was nice to have. Game room setup with video games was nice touch. No large cleaning requirement. Halfway between both courses was ideal for our stay. Bedrooms had lots of blankets and plenty of pillows, water pressure was good and water was hot instantly. Everything was super clean. Would recommend.

My family and I came up here for a 3 day weekend. The place was great. It was clean, there was plenty of room for everyone, and it was close to everything we planned on doing. We saw so many deer the few days we stayed here. I would definitely recommend it.
