Our calendar is updated in real-time & our nightly rates are accurately displayed. Simply enter your desired dates and click 'Book Now!'

Recently refreshed, the home features a fully updated kitchen, cozy new bedroom furnishings, and the added convenience of air conditioning for warm summer days. Each space has been thoughtfully enhanced to create an inviting and relaxing escape, blending a touch of modern style with the welcoming feel of a well-loved mountain cabin getaway.

Beautifully positioned in a fragrant, tree-lined meadow, this quintessential Idaho cabin offers the best of both worlds - rustic yet cozy, and tranquil and peaceful despite being only a 10-minute drive from the heart of downtown McCall. After a morning paddle on the nearby Lake Fork of the Payette River, you can relax among the pines on the massive deck (with a gas grill), watch the kids frolic in the expansive yard, or simply settle into the comfortable living area under timber-trussed wood ceilings and wood-paneled walls.

This tree-lined enclave is located six miles southeast of downtown McCall and the shimmering blue waters of Payette Lake, so you'll relish the peace and quiet away from the city in the midst of great fishing, rafting, kayaking, and hiking. If you're a golfer, the McCall Golf Club is six miles north. Enjoy even more outdoor fun up at Ponderosa State Park, or lounge on the sand at the ever-popular Davis Beach on the lake (both are seven miles north). When the snow moves in for the winter, you'll find wonderful skiing, snowboarding, and sledding at Brundage Mountain less than 16 miles north.

Great location for a ski trip to Brundage and Tamarack, located in the middle, 30 minute drive to each resort. Cabin was perfect for my needs.

A Great Place to Relax and Enjoy the Snow
I loved the mix of a cozy cabin feel with the open floor plan. I chose to sleep on in the loft bed just so that I could wake up to look out all the windows. If there was anything to complain about it would be that the kitchen was a little dated and not well organized, and the coffee machine needs replaced. Otherwise we all really enjoyed our stay.

Definitely a Cabin
First of all the place felt very clean. However, I think it could be best described as worn. The kitchen and bathrooms are very 80s. All of the furniture and pillows/blankets have stains and spots. So while seemingly clean, it was tough to get comfortable. Very cool spot though and it was a cool cabin. I have no real complaints. Oh except the dishwasher. That thing is a monster. You cannot run it and function in the house at the same time. Legitimately need ear protection if you’re in the kitchen while it runs.

Wonderful!
This was a great place for our family of 5. The kitchen was well-stocked, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the books. Our teenagers loved the TV options, and my mother-in-law loved sitting on the deck. My only suggestion is to check the washer: it didn't seem to clean the clothes very well.

Summer only Cabin
It's winter, 13 degrees outside, the lower floor in this place never gets warm, got a foot & a half of snow, called owners, were told that "we are only responsible for ensuring the driveway is cleared on your arrival, past that, you can use the shovel". 18 inches of snow, 70 foot long driveway...staircase that goes to only heated bedroom is STEEP & long, you hold onto whatever you can going up & down. Take extra toilet paper, as they allow (2) rolls for a week, take soap for the dishwashing machine (because there are none on site), also keep in mind that the management would like you to start a load of laundry, do the dishes, etc, before you leave. The cabin itself was decent but COLD, interaction w management was not friendly, we asked that the driveway be maintained, and were told to shovel it ourselves. When they decided to have someone else shovel it, they didn't let us know, so we were in the process of trying to find someone to plow the driveway. (For an additional $150-250.00). So I'm working to find someone to plow their driveway while I'm on vacation?

If they would fix things, this property would be great!
The items that keep me from giving this property a 5 star are the following: -Refrigerator door seal broken and stuck to the base -Stair railing scary loose -Cob Webs all over -No window covers for bathroom windows, which people could see through, especially at night! -No air conditioning (which we knew about...but still!) Otherwise property is actually in a pretty place and is spacious.

Great break from the routine
We were very comfortable in the house, although we didn't understand the heating system. Directions were easy to follow, and the distance from downtown McCall was just right. Loved the drives on country roads to Little Payette Lake, around Payette Lake, through Ponderosa state park and to Roseberry.

Definitely not excluded like it states in the description. You have neighbors on all sides of you. So if your are wanting to stay somewhere away from people, this is not it. I had the neighbors dogs showing up on the front porch. Pretty annoying when you are trying to relax and you have to find a random dogs owner.

Cute cabin in quiet neighborhood
We loved Kearny Cabin. Beautiful surroundings and convenient to both Tamarack and Brundage ski hills. Also close to town and the lake. Check in was easy with the lock box and easy to follow directions. Housekeeping: although the cabin was clean when we arrived, there was a jacket left on the couch (cleaning person?), there was rubbish outside (paper plates, etc) in the driveway and on the surrounding property. Trash can was left on the street and we weren't sure if we were supposed to bring it in. Eventually we did. We used the grill and it did not look like it had been cleaned in quite a while. The bathrooms were small, but guess that can't be helped. The management group was not easily accessible. First you had to FIND the phone number, then you had to push a bunch of numbers and listen to a message that said it might be a long wait. It was. We did eventually get a hold of them to ask about the wood burning stove, which had no tools. They said that the stove was for owner use only, but the only way to know that was to look at the fine print in the listing and note that it was NOT listed in the amenities. REALLY? Then why did you post a picture of it in the listing? I realize it is located in the middle of the living room and couldn't help get in some of the pictures, but there was actually a close up picture of ONLY the stove. When we talked to Vacasa and suggested they put a sign on the stove that said "for Owner Use Only" they agreed. And the picture of it should probably be taken out as well. Besides these few things, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again.

4th of July Weekend
The house itself was quite lovely, and for the most part it was very clean. However there is a bird's nest in the eaves over the back patio so there is bird crap all over the upper deck and the lower deck (including the barbecue and all the barbecue utensils). It was totally gross - we had to really, really clean (it to use the barbecue), and the upper deck was not usable at all, because of the vast amount of poop.. There is also a soft spot on the back deck that we had to cover with a chair so that nobody walked on top of it, because it was very dangerous! Any of us could have fallen through. I would also recommend that some sort of blinds be placed over the sliding glass door in the upstairs Loft. Thankfully my daughter and niece had eye masks. Let tell me you, it's pretty bright in there in the morning! In the upstairs & downstairs bedroom the drawers in the dressers are all jacked up. It isn't just that they were a little bit difficult to open, it's that the bottoms of the drawers slide out as you open them. Needless to say I didn't put anything in the drawers. And neither did my sister-in-law downstairs. The twin bed closest to the dresser in the downstairs, is way too close to it. My sister-in-law stubbed her toe really bad on the bed leg, before they could get a chance to move it over, (also because she had no shoes on). The knives need to be sharpened, and the one that it looks like someone tried to open a can with it needs to be thrown away. Probably the biggest issue however was that we were not warned that we couldn't wear our shoes inside of the house. If we had known that ahead of time we could have brought house slippers and a second pair of flip-flops for the deck. It was very awkward and we would have really liked to know beforehand. It was very annoying all weekend. It was a lovely place however, very homey and cozy.

Beautiful, Quiet Retreat!
Our winter 3-night stay was absolutely lovely. The cabin has a remote feel even though it is very close in proximity to McCall. On our first night, we walked through the door and decided this is where we wanted to be for the evening, even though the Winter Carnival fireworks were scheduled in a couple of hours. The cabin has huge windows in the sitting area and family and dining room areas. We enjoyed just "hanging out" and being a part of the stillness. The furnishings are beautiful, and the home is well layed out. I would have loved a footstool in front of the couch. There is no coffee table, and using the stools from the table was hard, and they were too tall. Since we stayed at the cabin our three days, we spent one day watching movies. The tv has Dish with a wide variety of free movie choices. I noticed a number of DVDs under the stand as well. The kitchen is well supplied. Bring your own condiments, syran wrap, etc., though. I bought supplies for French bread, but forgot sugar, cinnamon, and cooking spray. We did find cinnamon but not the others. We did not use or access the garage so have no comment on it, but it was nice to be able to park in the drive. It was snow covered, but the walk to the front door was only a few feet and covered and had been cleared prior to our arrival. The home was clean and warm as we entered, and we were in immediate awe with our choice. I would definitely rent again and would love to see this property in the summer. Regarding the size, this property is perfect for a couple, two couples with two children, or a family with two-three children. Right now the lawn and deck areas are piled with feet of snow, but I can imagine how family friendly they are. The small bedroom downstairs has two twin beds with two small closets, and the bathroom is right next door. Up the stairs is a loft with a queen bed, a small bathroom, and a bedroom with a queen bed which has a window-like opening with shutters that looks out to the family room below. The beds took some getting used to--all could use new mattresses, but they do have toppers. Heating controls were very quick to warm the house, and the hot water was very hot. Loved our stay and only wished we had a few more days!

Cozy cabin with great views!
Lovely little cabin! Window views are beautiful (we observed Quail and deer). Not lots of privacy room wise here and steep stairs if you have little ones. This cabin is stocked well with necessities and even had toys available to use. The deck out back is roomy and has small table and chairs in which you can sit out back and enjoy the view and see stars at night. Perfect getaway cabin for a little family-we would definitely stay here again!
