"We absolutely loved our stay at Baglio lauria. The room was absolutely beautiful, the shower had amazing pressure and space and the grounds are absolutely stunning. You are surrounded by olive trees, fig trees, almonds and cacti that are just breathtaking. A true retreat. You must take a tour of Tenute Camilerri (vineyard) while you are there. Would definitely come back. Special thanks to Dario for taking care of us and making sure everything was perfect. "

I did feel like their website and marketing photos were a little misleading, once I arrived because it is a very small operation with only a couple of rooms. Dinner wasn't offered because there were not enough guests, which I understand, but this place is pretty remote and driving 20 minutes to dinner and back was not something I had planned on having to do. "There's not a lot of hotels in Caltagirone to choose from. Even so, this one is worth a night or two if you are going to the town itself or even Villa Romana. The rooms are clean, comfortable and bathrooms seem well maintained. Best reason to go though is the outstanding dinner and wine from the owners vineyard. Overall a nice experience."
