"Can't say enough good things about the property but specifically the owners. They were kind, attentive and friendly. Made us feel special. This was the perfect place for us to stay as it was exactly halfway between Santander and the house we're renovating in the area. Es verdad que nosotros cogimos un apartamento de dos y lo ampliamos a 4 con el sofá cama, y no es lo más cómodo, pero para unos días puede servir. El único pero que le pongo es que el baño huele mal, pero por lo que nos han dicho (en el hotel y en el pueblo) es algo que pasa cuando llueve. Lo demás, ¡genial!"

"The property is an old mansion turned in the hotel. Location is terrible in the middle of nowhere, the restaurant is nice, downstairs sitting area is nice, but… no elevator, it’s dark to get up the wooden stairs and you have to look for switch to continue the climb. The room is small, sparse and stuffy. No screen on the window , so when we had to open the window in order to breathe, we were bitten by mosquitoes. I didn’t sleep at all. No coffee station or kettle in the room. Wasted money"

This northern part of Spain is very beautiful and this hotel is also very convenient to sight see towns around. The Altamira Caves and its replicas, another must see, are 2 - 3 minutes away.
