We had a great week relaxing at the farm house! Karen is very friendly and helpful, and it was rejuvenating to spend time overlooking the planted fields and reading on the screened porch. The location was central to many things we wanted to do: bike the Elroy-Sparta trail, kayak in Wonewoc, pontoon on Castle Rock Lake, golf, and play in the Dells (Tommy Bartlett, mini-golf, Wild Rock Golf Course, and eat - twice - at the Cheese Factory). Things you might want to know that you can't tell from the website: 1) the beds are comfortable, 2) the bedroom that is pictured is roomy and also has a twin bed in it, 3) the other 2nd floor bedroom is charming and has a double bed, 4) the first floor bedroom is a bit cramped (the bed is up against the wall and there's a curtained-off stackable washer/dryer in the room), 5) all the bedrooms have large closets, 6) the road is close to the house (we slept with the air conditioner on so this only bothered us when were were talking on the porch), 7) the shower head in the first floor bathroom is very low (too low for the shortest of us - who is 5'4" - to be comfortable), 8) the second floor bathroom is cheerful and nicely decorated.
We thought the house was charming, a good value, and so much more comfortable than staying in a hotel!
