lovely stay in Matlock. Great rooms and pub. Nice and quiet in the rooms and dog friendly which is great. Staff all lovely. We will be definitely staying again.

Dirty old room

Disgusting room, cobwebs, spiders , black mould all around the bath , mould on picture frame, very hard mattress , creaky bed , stains on walls , just awful , please avoid not fit for purpose , can’t understand good reviews ! There must be better rooms , ours was no 8 !!!! Stay away unless want to sleep with spiders !!

A great place - we didn’t eat there but it had a friendly bar with an open fire good beers and service land a very cute comfortable room across the courtyard.
