"The food at the Horse and Jockey restaurant was excellent. So far, my favorite fish and chips, ever. There was no AC but the oscillating fan overcame that. The town was lively and lovely. Great stay."

I wouldn’t recommend going to the Waitomo Caves. It’s cool, but not worth the long drive from Matamata.
