"Without Google we would have had a hard time finding it! In our room there was a shrieking noise which we assume was from the water system - it seemed to be connected to the toilet which sometimes did not flush well. We reported it at the desk when we left - really just a minor concern. Overall we had a very pleasant stay there. Liked the restaurant having tables on the beach - shades of "Death in Paradise" on the TV!"

"We stayed for four nights in the Deluxe Suite upstairs from Reception and the restaurant. It is huge and comfortable. There is a very large living room with a kitchen at one end, a bedroom with a king bed, a second bedroom with two twin beds and a large bathroom. Also a wide hallway between the living room and main bedroom in front and the second bedroom and bathroom in back. Both the living room and the front bedroom have doors leading to a front veranda with - on one side - a table and four chairs and-on the other side - two lounges and a small table. The outside grounds were beautiful and beautifully maintained with two swimming pools, an outside shower, and lots of chairs and tables scattered around. Also on the grounds are a number of bungalows. We stayed in one of the bungalows the night we arrived, before moving to the Deluxe Suite, and it was also comfortable and well-maintained. The best thing about El Encanto is the staff. They answered lots of questions we posed before we arrived. While we were there they provided superb service including setting up two tours for us with excellent guides. The breakfast at the hotel, included in the price, is very good and the restaurant is excellent, although a bit pricier than some of the restaurants in town. The staff did everything we asked and went "above and beyond" on several occasions."

"This Vrbo was the perfect fit for my friend and I. We came to Costa Rica to bird, and it was hard to leave the property at times because there were so many. 10 Iguanas in eye shot at one time, howler monkeys in the trees, beautifully landscaped yard. The host lives next door and was very helpful with questions of where to eat and what to do. Cahuita is a quiet small town with chill vibes. Definitely not a party town. "

"A very pleasant guesthouse where we had a pleasant room and a large veranda. Nice big swimming pool and beautiful garden. The room is clean, has a fridge and kitchen necessities. "

"Annie and her place were great! We enjoyed our stay very much, and we even saw a huge orange iguana and a sloth right from the house! Definitely recommend!"

"Read the small print! First look said it had a pool, whole house to yourself , washer and dryer at 20$ a load? A/C did not work, TV remote was broken, no streaming ? Place needs some TLC. Gas stove was a little scary and ran out. Water pressure was horrible (except the outdoor shower, that was good, electric power showed water in port in American I phones . You couldn't charge anything! Beach and area very nice, but a walk to town if you didn't have a car, there were bikes, but again read the small print!"

"Amazing immersion experience in the jungle. The grounds and the 360 experience cabin were so beautiful. Included breakfast was super fresh and delicious each morning and we were able to get laundry service on site. The cabin has interior walls, full bathroom and functional kitchen with propane cooktop, fridge and cooking utensils. The exterior walls are mesh, with privacy curtains if you feel the need. The location is towards the edge of the property, and while you are close to everything, you never feel exposed. The wildlife is LOUD in the mornings, so awesome. Expect some bugs, small gecko's inside, but the beds are set up with mosquito nets as well. wifi in the cabin was a bit patchy, but strong in the peaceful common area close by."
