"If you don't mind walking 15 min a bit uphill, not steep, from the train station (past a small market) this is a great option. Missed my train to Monserrat and stayed here. It was a gem really. Clean, coffee maker in room, excellent shower, comfortable bed. Another 12 min to rack railway. Arrived after 7pm, hotel restaurant was closed but owner had reached out on Whatsapp with code for entry (phone number on door). Thank you!!!! Great option for price. Would stay again. "

"El Monestir de Les Avellanes is truly a unique place. It is steeped in history yet it offers all modern conveniences in an unhurried way. The rooms are spacious, the beds extremely comfortable and cleanliness is utmost The sense of peace and quiet permeating the building and the cloister make for a very relaxed stay. All at reasonable prices. What a gem!"

"The owners of this B&B go above and beyond to make sure you have a pleasant stay. The house is grand, the living room and other commune areas are comfortable and tranquility is key. Also the food and of course the wine is excellent. It's the best experience I've ever had staying with someone else. Highly recommend! Only detail are the mosquito's, pack some deet!"

"Words can't describe how much I loved Can Farres. All of the staff was absolutely amazing, especially both Carola and Karine. I stayed there for only a couple of nights with 2 friends and we wish that we could have stayed longer. It was easily our favorite place that we stayed in. "Stayed 1 night in Oct 2023. Very tiny village not so far from Montserrat. Hotel was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fine. Very narrow streets. Instructions at the hotel front door to contact the owner by phone to get a code to enter the property. Also instructions to get to the parking lot indicates to go against a one way street (for a very short distance...) Overall we were happy of this hotel and would stay again !"

"Stayed with our 3 chn in Aug for a week. Rooms were spotless, cleaned every day. Air con was great but didn't need it all the time. Even though the hotel itself doesn't have a pool we had the use of the local Olympic sized swimming pool which was lovely and which we had almost to ourselves. Carmen our host was v helpful and gave us maps and advice on places to visit. We got around to a lot of them and weren't disappointed although we didn't have enough time to visit them all.
