Villa with Saracen Tower and swimming pool sea view near Sorrento

The villa has a beautiful swimming pool in the garden and a heated Jacuzzi on the top terrace.

On the ground floor of the main house, there is a fireplace, a bedroom with three beds, a dressing room and a bathroom with a shower, but there also is a master bedroom, which has its own bathroom. The master bedroom's bathroom has a tub and a shower.

On the ground floor, there is also a bedroom closet with a bathroom, a washing machine and an iron.

A wide and convenient granite staircase, with large windows that overlook the garden, leads to the first floor. On the first floor, there is another living room, which has a television with Sky. This room leads to a beautiful terrace on which there is a marble dining table for 10 to 12 persons. The terrace is covered by a pergola and connected to a kitchen that is equipped with a fridge, freezer, toaster, electric kettle, blender, oven and dishwasher. The kitchen is also fully equipped with plates, cutlery, glasses, breakfast cups, place mats and all the other daily necessities. On the first floor, there are two bedrooms: a master bedroom, which is built on two levels and which has a bathroom with a tub, a dressing room and a television with My Sky. The other bedroom has two single beds, a dressing room and a big bathroom with a shower.

Another huge terrace, which is partly covered by a pergola, can be reached from this terrace thanks to a very convenient staircase. It is fully equipped with sun chairs, tables, sofas and armchairs with pillows. It has a magnificent mini Jacuzzi pool (heated).
There is a private car park on the property that can be reached via a narrow street, so we recommend cars no larger than a Golf, for example. The car park is large enough for 2 cars.

Fabulous stay with friends
The villa was perfect for our group of 8 adults. Beautiful spot with lots of room for everybody. Lots to see and do, and we were well looked after by Lucio, Irma and Philamena. Comfortable beds too.

Amazing Holiday
Stayed with my family over the Christmas holidays. Lucio the property manager was very hospitable and welcoming. He gifted us with some amazing pastries when we arrived and again when we checked out. Villa was perfect for the 6 of us. I would love to come back in season and visit again.

A Slice of Heaven
This Villa is beautiful and comfortable and has the most amazing views. It is very roomy with so much outdoor space. Irma & Lucio are wonderful hosts who were available for anything we needed and to answer any questions…. Fresh flowers,Easter candy, 2 surprise breakfasts… we couldn’t have asked for more. This is a fabulous find that I highly recommend. Massa Lubrense is a charming town as well, just above Sorrento. Just lovely

Unforgettable villa
We had a wonderful time at the villa. Lucio and Irma were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The villa was beautiful and kept very clean- we had a everything we wanted and all the amenities were really good quality. It was great having the cold water in the swimming pool (in may) and then the hot tub as well. The beds were all very comfortable and lots of bathrooms for everyone! Massa Lubrense had all essentials within walking distance but was a little off the beaten track so much less hectic than other more touristy places- which we were very pleased about. The only thing I would say is if you hire a car go for the smallest possible- there is parking at the villa but the space is very very tight - although you can easily park in the road. I would absolutely recommend this villa - who knows we might even be back

Our stay in Massa Lubrense was the perfect vacation. My family enjoyed the lovely location in a small village near Sorrento. We mostly stayed at the villa with the view, pool, football and ping pong that kept us happy. But we could always walk to the village for groceries, shopping, water or GELATO which was a daily occurance.

Wonderful experience in the beautiful Sorrento coast
My family and I had a wonderful time in Massa Lubrense. The villa is absolutely perfect. Finely furnished, we found everything we could possibly need. Lucio, the contact person on site, was amazing: always available and ready to assist us in any request or need. The va action has just finished but I would go back tomorrow if I could. I will vividly recommend my friends and family to stay at torre del giglio.

Beautiful house with a fantastic view
we were 13 persons from 8-73 years old,we spent a week in the house near Massa Lubrense. The house had all we needed and Filomenea , her husbond and friend Michele cooked for us, delicious food, everything was perfect we had a wonderful week, and should like to come back.

Villa Paradiso
We have just spent the most amazing week here in Massa Lubrense. The villa itself was amazing, and Lucio the property manager just the most wonderful kind person you are ever likely to meet. Nothing was too much trouble, from simply taking my elderly (80+ years old) parents to town, or upto Picco Restaurant which is a must or a group of us to Nerano beach and back, he also cooked a delicious pasta and fish dinner for us and supplied us with his homemade limoncello, grazie Lucio! The villa itself is well equipped with everything that you need from the cool dipping pool to the rooftop hot tub, you will enjoy this place. The town of Massa Lubrense has everything you need from a local town, great groceries, bars, restaurants and gelato. Oh and Lucio provided us with Italian pastries on our first and last mornings . We were a group of 11, ranging in ages from 16 - 85 and we all loved our stay, even my parents managed the small steep climb to the villa. Grazie Maria and Lucio

An Amazing Villa!
All the glowing reviews are warranted. This place is so very special! I had extremely high hopes for this week, and they were surpassed. The villa is a dream come true, and Massa Lubrense is the ideal location for exploring this magical part of the world. The town is a real Italian town, not just a tourist stopover. The very short walk there leads to wonderful markets, shops, and restaurants, and all are very reasonably priced. Bus service is excellent, and we used the recommended charter boat service for an unforgettable day exploring Capri. Filomena made a wonderful dinner one night, and we took advantage of the grill and kitchen on other nights. We took the high speed ferry from Sorrento to Naples for a day to explore this wonderful city and the train to amazing Pompeii. Thank you, Carlo! We will be back.

Beautiful Villa
Bravo! Communication with Maria the owner was very easy. Upon arrival Mr Lucio and Irma had a beautiful antipasto, bread and wine waiting for us, complements of the owner. The villa was impeccable, everything was immaculate and the views were spectacular. Mr Lucio dropped off pastries in the morning. Easy walk to the town where everyone was very friendly and it had great restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries and, of course, gelato and pizza. The bus to Sorrento ran every 20 minutes. We used driving services by Gaetano and his company and drivers were friendly and accommodating. We had Mr Lucio and Irma make us pizza in the villa’s outdoor pizza oven and it was over the top! Filomena cleaned the place spotless on Saturdays and Wednesdays. All in all, this was a memorable vacation in the villa. We would definitely consider returning. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would.

Beautiful villa with vista views
Villa Torre del Giglio is a beautiful villa that has been tastefully renovated, modernized and decorated. It sits on the side of a hill overlooking the small town center of Masse Lubrense and the sea below. Stunning views from the expansive roof deck. Two buildings, the huge main house and the old tower which is a living area and bath downstairs, and a second floor bedroom and bathroom with the best views! Plenty of space for our group of 7. We walked in to the town frequently to visit the cafes (called "bars") and the restaurants which were all amazing. We also went to a few of the markets to get food to cook ourselves. Just be aware there is a steep stone driveway that can be a bit slippery going down and heart-pumping going up, as well as stairs leading up to the villa. But let me say after catching our breadth each time we returned it was worth the climb! Since we were there off season in March, there were several businesses still closed until April 1. But, we found some great places that were open and it was nice having the attention of all the business owners to ourselves! They all treated us special. The owner Maria, was very responsive (off site) and the two local caretakers, Irma and Lucio, were fantastic. They reached out every day to see if we needed anything and had recommendations for restaurants and a taxi driver which we used to bring us to a couple of excursions. They even brought us pastries on our first and last day, and a gift from the owner. Amazing!

Outstanding Home for Wonderful Week
We held a family reunion (6 adults, 5 children ages 3-13) for a superb week in late June 2016 at this home. I cannot speak highly enough about this home and its setting. It made for a perfect week. The home itself is well-equipped, has lots of spaces to spread out, the pool was loved by the children and one just cannot resist the lemon trees, a view of the water/sunset and your own ancient tower. While we toured Pompeii and loved the excursion to dramatic Capri, we also really appreciated getting to know the small town life of Massa Lubrense-just near enough to walk easily for milk or of course gelato. It also was a treat to simply walk out the gate, turn left and begin to explore wonderful trails around the hills. We ended up not using the car we rented since all was so convenient. Filomena is a delight and she prepared a delicious seafood dinner and another evening pizza in the outdoor oven. The owner in Rome was very easy to work with and quite responsive to questions and the booking procedures. This truly was an incredible highlight for us and to spend time in such a lovely setting with family members you love cannot be matched! We are all longing to return soon.

Magical stay at a stunning villa
Our family had a marvelous time at the villa. The location was supreme (the most beautiful views) and we could not have asked for more hospitable hosts. Lucio and Mihaela attended to any of our needs: helping us take our bags to the villa, bringing us pastries the first and last morning of our trip, purchasing groceries for us upon our arrival (especially loved the fresh fruit), and most special was the lovely four course meal they served us. Our family of 6 had plenty of room to spare and we enjoyed the special amenities like the hot tub and ping pong table - even during the cooler weather. We slept comfortably every night as it was quiet and had all the comforts of home. The town of Massa Lubrense surpassed any and all of our expectations. The people were all so warm and friendly, offering gifts everywhere we went. We loved our meal at Il Cantuccio and the cafes were all charming with great espresso and pastries. Casa Gaetano also provided us with Joseph - a private driver. Joseph had the most wonderful spirit and gave great recommendations across our trip. We used him to travel to and from Naples as well as day trips to the Almalfi Coast and Pompeii/Vesuvius. Our favorite part was going to Mass on Palm Sunday with the beautiful service and music. We look forward to our next visit at the villa. Perfecto!

Birthday treat
We had a wonderful stay at the Villa , plenty room for everyone to spread out . Everyone had there own bathroom . We had the large bedroom with balcony on first floor , very comfortable cool and quiet . Facilities were good . Only one thing the kitchen was pretty small for the size of the house , plenty eating areas inside and out and the view from terraces was wonderful. It was a nice quiet area you felt part of the town . Saracan tower very interesting and different . We were a family of 12 . The managers could not do enough for us, so kind . They met you at bottom of track and transported your luggage up to villa . Steep incline to villa but managed with buggy ok. Managers gave us a gift of pastries on day one and our last day and gave us some jars of homemade lemon marmalade to take home . So kind , they were always on hand to help . The owner of villa had flowers sent to myself and my niece in our birthday . A wonderful gesture . We found the town very nice not touristy locals with all the shops you need and restaurants and loved the nearby harbour with fantastic restaurants and views . It was only 15 mins on a bus from town to Sorrento so easy to get about . You don’t need a car . Enjoyed everything so much we Definately would go back . Thanks to everyone great communication from all x

Fantastic Property - It Has It All & Very Comfortable
We had a group of family & friends celebrating a 60th birthday. We wanted a place that was comfortable for everyone, with private bedrooms & bathrooms, a pool and view. This absolutely beautiful villa met all of our needs and surpassed our expectations. Very comfortable with great beds and a variety of living areas allowing everyone to be together or get some personal time. The Saracen Tower is basically a private residence with its own rooftop deck and 360 degree view. The main house has a wonderful dinning patio plus a roof top deck with hot tub, lounge area and workout space. The views are spectacular and wonderful sunsets. The kitchen is excellent as well. The local staff (and the owner) are also the most outstanding people. Very fast to respond to any need and genuinely concerned with our comfort and happiness. The manager Michele and house keeper/cook Filomena and her husband are fantastic people and responded to any question or request. If you make arrangements with them they will cook a typical Italian dinner for you which we did and it was one of our highlights of the trip. We walked into the town of Massa Lubrensa for shopping, tour arranging (you must use Penisco for all of your tour and transportation needs - they are wonderful) and an occasional meal. 10 minute walk. The only part to take consideration of is the lane leading to the villa - it is steep but we all walked it numerous times (40 to 70 year olds). We toured the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento and Capri - all wonderful but the days we just stayed at the Villa were a treat. Games, table games, pool, hot tub - it has it all! We did not have a car and it was fine. I highly recommend this property and the owner Carlo. All where the best!

Romantic Roman villa, fully appointed, quiet
Great views of Bay of Naples 6 Bedrooms and 6 Full Baths We were 2 grandparents, 4 parents and 7 children (ages 15 - 2) Everyone was very happy and always had something to do on the property. The villa has perfect roman proportions and an airy design and it is built into the hillside amidst an expansive lemon grove. The roof-top sports a jacuzzi, modern lounge patio furniture and also an exercise bike and treadmill. The children liked the jacuzzi a lot. The pool also was popular since the size was right and it was facing the sea. The covered area with foosball and ping-pong we used a lot. Under the olive trees was a relaxing area to sit and read. The apricots were ripening and falling on us! The lemons we could pick right off the trees and use for salad dressing or for juice or in other ways. The facility was well-equipped, so we are guessing it's a summer home that has been in the family a long time. We did not lack any equipment in kitchen or outside. Flat-screen TVs are in many rooms but we did not use so much since we were enjoying the property or the surroundings. While the owners are in Rome and responsive over email, on site there is Filomena who checks on the property every day or every other day. Filomena came every other morning to vacuum the bottom of the swimming pool! The Massa Lubrense location is away from the tourist crowds in Sorrento. Within 4-5 minutes walking distance are a variety of stores such as butchers, grocery store, and a gelato-Konditorei. For restaurants, Primavera is 3 stars and Il Cantuccio is a fine four-star experience for the whole family. The property parking lot is tight for an SUV but the street parking was just fine, too. About 8-9 minutes driving toward Nerano is the restaurant Relais Blue which is a Michelin star rated restaurant with a sun-set view of Capri that is unforgettable. For a convenient beach outing, below the town of Nerano is the Marina del Cantone which is a small paradise at the beginning of the Amalfi Coast which really has no tourist hordes at all. From the marina below Massa Lubrense, are boat rentals and we took a boat with skipper for a tour around Capri. Massa is almost the closest place on the main land to Capri, so that made the trip very easy. Also, on a another day we took boat with skipper down along the Amalfi Coast. Talk to Michele in the harbor. By the way, the tower offers private living space that is incredible! Friends who visited for BBQ were jealous!

We stayed at villa torre del Giglio. The walk up the road was a little more than we expected at first, but we learned to love that also. We walked into town and caught the bus to Sorrento and spent time all over the Massa Lubrense area. We took a private boat to Amalfi, we hiked the path of the gods and so much more. Irma and Lucio were simply amazing! Communication was A+! They made dinner for us one night and it was fantastic! They helped gut our luggage in and out of the Villa too! There was even a gift from the owner at checkout. 100% would recommend and stay again. Massa Lubrense itself is also lovely. Don’t miss out on that.

Five Canadian ladies celebrating my 70th. Carlo and his wife we’re very helpful with my queries like recommending a driver for pickup from Naples then I dealt with hands on Lucio and Irma. They cooked my birthday dinner. The views, the accommodation, location ... absolutely wonderful. Grazie Mille.

Amazing Vacation Villa
My husband and I booked two week with friends and family coming and going. For two nights we had eleven people. Those two nights we had Lucio and Irma cater our dinners. One Pizza Night and Pasta Night. Magical. We all felt so at home and couldn’t believe how fortunate we were to be in Italy staying at this beautiful villa. Lucio & Irma are amazing hosts. Highly recommend!

Amazing villa in ideal location
This villas far exceeded my expectations for our family of 12. It could not have been more perfect indoor and outdoor spaces. All rooms had their own baths and so many outdoor areas to enjoy. The foosball table, pool and hot tub were a big hit. The villa felt very safe and secure with walls, gates and fencing allowing our 4 kids some freedom. Location was perfect, out of the crowds of Sorrento but close enough to enjoy and so close to the small town of Massa Lubrense. We walked many times just down the hill for coffee, pastries and the market. We were welcomed by store owners and invited to watch an Italy football match with the locals. The villa owner, Irma and Lucio our contacts, were available for all our needs and a pleasure to work with. We also took advantage of Gaetano’s car service for our transportation needs, always prompt or early. Our family would have no hesitation staying again at the amazing villa again. It was a dream!

Beautiful villa in Massa Lubrense
This was our second visit to this beautiful villa and we’ll definitely be back. The villa is roomy with plenty is space to spread out. There are multiple outside areas to enjoy. There is room for a small car. The only possible negative is that the hill to the villa is quite steep.
