The house was stunning ,very tastefully decorated throughout. Bedrooms were spacious, beds comfortable and clean. Bathrooms were for the most part good, a few issues more due to age of property than anything to complain about. One of the bathrooms though for one of the bedrooms was on a different floor...may be an issue for some....not for us. Lots of sitting areas for peace and quiet or for group activities. Our only problem was because we had a large group and entertained other friends who were staying in the area for a couple of nights, the kitchen is quite small and the stove top was finicky....also the oven was complete guesswork....all the numbers and lettering had long disapeared.Pool was as advertised...small...again not an issue for us. Grounds were beautiful, many sitting and lounging areas.
St Agata is a lovely little town with all amenities, shops, restaurants, a mid size supermarket,Mini markets, bakeries, butchers, etc. At the bottom of the hill ( a five minute walk) is the bus stop for Sorrento....a must see. Also buses run to Amalfi and Positano. Tickets can be purchased from tourist info. From Sorrento you can get the train to anywhere else. Pompeii, Naples, etc. We had a fabulous time here...people are very friendly and helpful....the little store at the bottom of the road would close his shop and run us home for a small fee if we overbought wine and beer....a regular occurrence! This home was our base for two weeks and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute.
