"This is the best hotel we have ever been to. It is designed, built, and operated by the owner JC Espinoza, an accomplished architect for his clients. The view is simply phenomenal overlooking volcano Masaya which had a minor eruption on Dec 22, 2024. The hotel also overlooks lake Masaya, an old volcano crater. "We stayed at this property for 3 nights. It was absolutely fantastic. It’s in a beautiful location with a breeze off the water, the property and the cabins are beautiful as well. The food is also great with decent prices. The owner (Daniel) and crew were awesome and very helpful with organizing transportation and recommendations on hikes close by and things to do in the area. Highly, highly recommend this property if you are staying at Apoyo Lagoon."
