"This hotel is very well presented. The decor is lovely and the way they have fest the rooms is very impressive with exposed walls and roof beams. Not very many of the staff speak fluent English but they try hard and the reception always has a fluent English speaker. Anyway it was good for me to practice my Spanish."

"Staff at Palacio de Valderrabanos was great as they were very helpful even as we made our check-in an hour after new years. The property is amazing and with a very rich history, so very recommendable to stay. Parking was not that close and was not part of the hotel, but is understandable in such a historic landmark. Extremely recommended."

"A good stay but it would have been better if the bar was open, not just at weekends and there was an option for the evening meal (which was OK but only just). The evening meal was "almost cold" seafood soup followed by "warm" salmon. No choice. We weren't even told about it. Staff were great and what made the visit extra special was the beautiful mass the following morning at 11:00. It says it's a 13 min walk but it's not, you need a car. "Fabulous Parador in the mountains. Upgrade to a Mountain View room if you can. Staff friendly and helpful, excellent restaurant serving the best octopus I’ve ever had. Rooms aren’t huge but are well equipped.Parador easy to find and roads are good. Can’t wait to come back!"

"The hotel itself was sparkling clean and a great location. I didn't find any place to control the temperature, though, and had to cycle through opening the windows (noisy) or closing them (hot), and this was in February. Also, the bed top slid off when I tried to get out of bed in the morning, and I fell on the floor. But the host was very kind, and helpful with directions."
