We rented this house to host our qedding party for the weelwnd of our wedding and it was perfect. Tons of common spaces to hang out in and games to play. The farm is so beautiful and peaceful. We could not have enjoyed our stay more!!
Very accommodating, wonderfully unique location in the middle of no where. Our kids hoped off their devices and just had good old fashioned kid fun. It was great to see all the smiles. Loved it!
More rustic than we expected, but many great memories were created. Very nice to have the large property to ourselves. Tons of games and activities available, or peaceful porch rocking, if chosen. The caretakers, LeighAnn and Jason, were tremendously helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about the farm.
A couple of minuses would be that there is no dishwasher ( though it’s advertised on VRBO), and the “pool” is actually a pond.
We are very glad we had this experience!
My daughter has been here twice and loved it each time. Now myself and my wife are big fans.
the property is awesome with fabulous views, beautifal animals and a caretaker who along with his dog, Waylon added to the ambiance and our enjoyment. We're still feeling it and look fo0rward to a return.
Our siblings get together every year and we've seen all sorts of VRBO properties. This facility was certainly unique! The house fit our needs well and the caretakers were excellent. The house could use a little TLC and detail cleaning and the kitchen was missing some basic tools (measuring spoons and cups, correct size coffee filters.) I'm sure it's difficult to attend to these details when turning over a facility this large in just 4 hours. We would certainly recommend this property with the caveat that it is a little more "rustic" than presented in the VRBO listing.
This was a wonderful and beautiful property! I invited 15 of my closest friends to celebrate my then girlfriend’s birthday and witness my engagement to my now fiancé!
The property is great! The house was beautiful and Jay, the caretaker, was so kind, friendly, and helpful! We could tell he does a lot to keep the entire property in tip top shape and that he cares about the upkeep and general well being of the guests AND the animals!! Not to mention his dog, Wayland. What. A. Sweetheart.
Unfortunately, with the rain we were unable to participate in some of the offered activities on the property. The indoor hot tub, pool/air hockey/ping pong table, the ample supply of board games and card games, and the huge house absolutely kept us entertained and certainly made up for the dreary weather.
Pet friendly is also essential for my fiancé and I. Our 13 years-young pug, Pugsley, comes with us on every adventure and it was so important to have our “son” at this pivotal moment in our relationship! Not to mention our friend was able to bring along Pugsley’s new best friend, Sirius Black—also a pug.
All in all, great experience! I highly recommend Fantasy Island Ranch for any and all gatherings, celebrations, reunions of friends and family. Truly an important part in creating such an amazing memory.

Jay welcomed us to the property and was so nice and friendly during our stay. We had fresh eggs from the farm for breakfast and got to pet and feed the animals. There were plenty of beds to sleep in and the property was just as imagined. We will definitely come back in the summer and enjoy the zipline and pond a bit more next time.
The property was great and met all expectations of the group. The caretaker was cordial and prompt to deal with any issues and to make us feel right at home. There was more than enough room for all of us and the kitchen suited our cooking needs. The surrounding land felt like real winter in the snow and we took advantage of the outdoor activities.
Don’t be distracted by the ancillary features of this property like a hot tub or a zip line… they put so much emphasis on a few quick “add ons” like these, while completely overlooking the fundamentals of hosting a fit place to stay. At least two bedrooms ended up having BEDBUGS- large and living, that we actually found crawling on the mattress after people woke up covered in red bumps! The mattresses were disgusting, covered in the bugs’ feces.
We had to unexpectedly pack up everything (as a party of 9 with two small children) and move to the only nearby hotel with availability. The owners of this property REFUSED to cover the cost of our hotel OR refund our Vrbo prepayment! It was truly unbelievable and ruined a vacationed that we had planned and looked forward to for almost a year.
Needless to say, details matter. And integrity matters. Do yourself a favor and find a better property/owner to ensure you’ll have the vacation you deserve.
Even before the trauma of having to vacate the premises due to bed bugs, I was disappointed at the disparity between what was promised and the realty. The house was not clean and did not feel well taken care of. Upon arrival the driveway was covered in ice so thick that one of us fell flat on his back (which is still in pain a week later). A property that has visitors coming every week should certainly keep the driveway clear and salted. The perimeter of the house was also covered with large piles of dog poop - not off to the side of the property, but right next to the porch, everywhere you look.
The kitchen is not fully equipped as promised, and does not have enough to suit 25, as is written. The living room is also too small for a large party (6 max). The walls throughout the house are filthy dirty. There are cobwebs in plenty of corners.
I suspect they know that things are not in good condition because (a little suspiciously) the night we arrived we were asked to each sign a very detailed waiver releasing the owner from “any physical or psychological damage” caused during our stay…
They do have a very nice man named Jay who lives right next door and maintains the farm. But every time we needed something and called Jay he said “I only manage the property I do not have anything to do with the rental”. The owners themselves did not answer any of our calls /questions in the week leading up to the vacation. In summary an awful experience, a neglected property, and untrustworthy owner.

Property management was super however the house was not very clean and kitchen cabinets had padlocks on them. The gas stove had to be lit with a lighter ( very scary) The VRBO ad has multiple refrigerators and freezers when in fact there is only two available with 16 people we had a difficult time keeping everything is cold as well because we ran out of room the other refrigerators as well wear their owners and could not use any of them the twin beds only have bottom sheets on them and a light comforter to cover up at night . The house itself needs a good cleaning a good painting inside and no more faults advertising on there amenities of the inside of the house . However Jay the property manager was outstanding with us let us feed all the animals got the ATVs out for us got the zip lines out we did have a fabulous time but would not consider going back unless the house itself was cleaned up more .
We just got back from a 5 days and 4 nights stay. There were 19 in total ranging in age from 60 to 2 and EVERYONE had a blast!! When we arrived we were met by the caretaker Jay and his right hand dog Waylon. Jay went above and beyond the call of duty...doing everything to make us feel welcome!! He was always ready to answer any of our questions and help us out including welcoming us with wine and home made bread not to mention farm fresh chicken eggs .
As far as the property, the pictures online do no justice to the beautiful scenery that awaits you. The views are stunning!! As this is a working farm there are animals around which was really, really fun–especially for the young kids (and the not so young kids as well!!). Be warned though, the peacocks and the donkey are a little vocal but that's all just part of the fun and beautiful atmosphere of Fantasy Island. The grounds offer so much. Everyone enjoyed the zip lines, paddle boat, kayaks and visiting with the animals as well as riding the quads and ATV's throughout the property. Or if you were looking for something calmer, strolling along the paths on the property offered a serene break!! At night we got to enjoy sitting around the fire pit making smores and telling stories until our sides hurt from laughing!!
The house itself was perfect for our large group, with plenty of beds, a well-equipped kitchen, and a huge enclosed porch that has a hot tub as well as a ping pong/pool/air hockey table! The seating area consisted of a long table that was able to accommodate all of us as well as a bar top with swings as opposed to stools.
This place set the bar pretty high for future family getaways..... so we may just have to come back!!
We are heading home from the best bachelorette weekend we could have ever imagined! The photos do not do the place justice it was a truly amazing escape to your own little farm full of interesting and sweet animals. Caretaker Jay is one of the nicest guys and very helpful and respectful. 10/10 would recommend and will come back!
After a 5 hour drive we finally arrived. As soon as we got out we met Jay and Ryan our property managers. They were there in close proximity all weekend. Everything there was to do the kids got a chance to try. Zip line, kayaking, paddle boats, new pool table and other games. The youngest in the group spent the weekend on the zip line. We played cards and other games. There was plenty to have fun with. Thank you Jay and Ryan for everything. And thank you to the family for sharing this home with us.
We really enjoyed our stay!
Huge grounds, cozy house, & lots of stuff to do on premises!
Ryan & Jay were extremely helpful!!!
We had a small problem with the owner, but resolved it right away.
Highly recommended!!!
The pictures do not do it justice, this place was a perfectfor our group of 10. Everything described in the section about activities during the stay lived up to and exceeded expectations. The caretakers were kind and helpful and even went out of their way to help us when we had some car troubles on our way out. We will deffinitly be coming back.
We were looking for a beautiful, serene place where we could enjoy small town charm, nature, and especially where we could enjoy time as a family with our pups. We couldn’t have found a better place if we tried! Jay & Ryan were great, the house was cozy and warm, and our 3 dogs had the time of their life with Weyland, Chloe, Jenny, Norman, and all of the other animals on the farm. This seriously was such a perfect stay, we were all sad to leave. We can’t wait to visit again! Thank you, Tal & family, Jay and Ryan for your hospitality. :)
This place worked out great for our group of 17. Lots of space inside and lots of things to do outside! We enjoyed the ranch-themed kitsch and hanging with barnyard friends, and appreciated the unexpected gifts of fresh bread, wine and cookies! The caretaker was very helpful.
Great way to spend the weekend! It's rare to find a property that can house our large group of friends, so we were really excited to find this. We barely left the property, and had an absolutely amazing time. We will definitely be back!

Had a wonderful stay
We had our whole family here together for Christmas. Sleeping arrangements were comfortable. Kids (and adults) loved all the animals. Kitchen worked very well for cooking up meals. Beautiful setting. Doug and the people at the farm couldn't have been more helpful. Even came to the rescue with a tire puncture!
