"This property is in a beautiful area with stores, restaurants and walking trails only a couple minutes away. It is obvious from the lovely decor that Evelyn wants her guests to feel at home. There were plenty of towels, extra blankets/pillows and the kitchen was fully stocked. It was truly a peaceful stay and we 10/10 recommend! "

"My husband and boys have stayed here 3 years in a row to kayak and fish on the James River. They like the camping feel with a bed for my husband's back. They always enjoy it."

"Cool cabin, peaceful and quiet. Very basic items were provided. Bring your own kitchen and bath items, like baking dish, spices, cooking oil, condiments, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, etc. Washer and dryer in the bathroom was convenient. You have to hand wash dishes since no dishwasher. Trout in the pond are used to being fed with fish food rather than hunting for natural food. Lol. Saw couple turkeys and couple deer around the pond. Lots of birds and squirrels."

"A couple friends and I went fishing on the upper James and rented the River's Bend cabin. What a fabulous place! The cabin was clean, spacious, and well-appointed with everything we needed for a 3-day getaway. There are beautiful views of the river from the multi-level back deck and the screened in porch overlooking the mountains was a great spot for a nap or evening cocktail. Our host Elizabeth was top notch!! She provided a wealth of information in advance, was very responsive to all of our...
