This bedroom features a full-sized desk and “Alexa” so it could also be used for office space. In addition to being part of and accessed by stairs from the main level of the house, this level also has a door going outdoors, so this level would also be good for adults who wanted their own private entrance.
The Game Room features a combo mini game table that includes Foosball, billiards, hockey, and shuffleboard. There is also a tabletop Pac-Man game and pinball game, dartboard and board games. The room also has a queen-size, pull-out sleeper sofa that can sleep 2 guests, as well as a play area with toys and activities for younger children.

Indoor Whirlpool Hot Tub - All of the same benefits, but “Better than an outdoor hot tub” - Here’s why…. When you use an outdoor hot tub, it has chlorine to kill any bacteria because the water is reused! With our indoor whirlpool hot tub, the water is drained after each use and the tub is thoroughly cleaned after each guest leaves. No leftover dirt, grime, or bacteria. No stinky chlorine smell left on your skin. No worries about sitting outdoors in cold or inclement weather. Enjoy the relaxation, massage, and warmth of a hot tub while viewing nature through the large windows. In addition to the jets, you can turn on the “air bubbles” feature which fills the water with lots of little air bubbles…. So relaxing!
There is a full-size grill with utensils and charcoal, picnic tables, hammock, playground, and a firepit with plenty of firewood included!

Great hangout for a group of 4 friends and partners!
The property and the home are immaculate. Felt like we were staying in a resort. Clean, well stocked, very neatly presented. Joyce was easy to communicate with. The trails are great, the little lake, the fire pit.. so comfortable! And the suite upstairs is an oasis. Our group stayed on the property the entire time, especially given that Marshall is currently recovering from Helene. We brought plenty of activities to keep us occupied and the home provides some games as well. Can’t wait to stay there again! We didn’t want to come home.

The house had room for the nine of us. We spent all of our meal times at the house. More comfortable seating in the main living area would have helped us tremendously as the kitchen chairs weren’t meant for lounging. Pots and pans could also be updated. We enjoyed it. The child with us loved the paddle boat.

If you’re looking for a turn-key house, close to amenities, but completely secluded, this is the place for you. Owners are very communicative and close by if any issues arise. House is beyond fully stocked; all you need to bring is food. Look forward to booking again!

Modern mountain family vacation
We had a wonderful time at Joyce and Bryan’s mountain meadows retreat home. The house is beautiful with huge windows overlooking the picturesque property. The house had great additional special touches and many family games for both inside and out. We felt very welcome and at home there. We enjoyed the fire pit with an ample supply of fire wood and took advantage of the charcoal grill with host supplied bricketts and fire starter. The kitchen had everything we could ask for and the property was beautiful and private. We would love to stay there again and will recommend it to friends.

Wonderful !
The property was stunning! The house had all the amenities you would want, plus more surprises at check-in. The hosts were a delight to work with - accepting packages in advance and communicating throughout our stay. There is a book that has all the details you would need for your visit. The layout worked for us as we were the only couple staying and got the King Suite with no guilt. If you are a few couples going on vacation, you'll have to draw straws as the suite is superior to the other rooms. We so appreciated the accuracy of the listing, the cleanliness, the extra towels, the outdoor areas and the attention to details!

We had a great stay at this house. The property is beautiful and so remote. Everything you need for the house is there and labelled so you can easily find. Joyce was great to work with and very responsive when we had any questions or issues. The wash machine was broken on day 1 of our stay and by day 3 there was a new washer in the house. The beds in the house were also super comfortable. We highly recommend this house!!

The property was stunning. A beautiful setting, plenty of things to do (hiking, fire pit, game room, tv, etc.). We went over Christmas and had a wonderful time hiking on the property and visiting the nearby ski slopes. The house is fully equipped and is very child and dog friendly. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday.

There promptness to questions is amazing and the care taken in your stay cannot be put into words. Would recommend this home for anyone wanting to stay in and around Asheville. We weren’t ready to leave. The land has so much to offer if you enjoy the outdoors. The home is beautiful, clean and cozy. The owners go the extra mile to ensure the best stay. They think of everything and provide more than any rental house I’ve ever stayed in. Firewood, toiletries, crates for all sized dogs and even the light switches and doors are labeled. The view is breathtaking. We want to come back soon and repeat this vacation all over agin.

Fantastic, all around!
Our group of friends had a fantastic stay at Joyce's home! So much thought, care, and attention to detail have clearly gone into the space -- not only do they have everything you could need for a great vacation, but it's all labeled and easy to find. Even s'mores forks!! They were also very dog-friendly and even provided crates and tennis balls for our use. We had a group of 7, and everyone was very comfortable both in their rooms and hanging out in the living spaces and on the deck. We also enjoyed exploring the property via the little trails, and got great views from the ridge line. Thank you, Joyce! We will be back, I'm sure.

Fantastic location and the perfect cabin!
We had an absolutely wonderful time at this cabin! The whole place was immaculate. The owners left so many little touches to make the stay comfortable (s’mores packs and many other things), the communication prior to our arrival was also fantastic. The best is the location.. secluded and private with stunning views. The boys enjoyed the pond and we all had fun by the outdoor fire pit in the evening. We rent cabins in the area fairly often and we all agreed this one has been our favourite one so far!

Gorgeous property, lovely home
We wanted a getaway for Easter and my birthday, so we came here for a mountain retreat and were not disappointed. The setting is amazing, with nature and hiking trails, a fun playground, pond and pedalboat, towering trees and bubbling streams, hammock and swing overlooking the pond, and fire pit with chairs in the backyard. The views from the large windows is wonderful, but for the best view be sure to hike to the top of the ridge (about .5 mile and uphill the whole way; takes 15 min. if in excellent shape, 20-30 if breaks are needed for tired or small legs). Our family (husband, wife, three kids, and two dogs) thoroughly enjoyed the house, which was clean and welcoming (including a basket with S'mores makings—nice touch). We were especially grateful the owners are "dog people" and provided crates, beds/crate pads, and dog bowls so we didn't have to bring those with us, and the fee for bringing dogs was quite modest (much less than we'd have paid to have someone else watch the dogs, and they loved the property as much as we did). If you're looking for a place with a fancy game room or modern movie theater, look elsewhere. This house and property are meant for those who want to experience the best and most beautiful of nature and a clean, comfortable home situated for the best possible view when you must be indoors. We had few issues with finding what we needed in the well-appointed kitchen (although a vegetable peeler and better potato masher would have been appreciated). Unfortunately it rained for an entire day (the only full day of our trip), but we enjoyed poking around the quaint town of Marshall and had a great meal at Bonnie & Clydes. In the evening we decided to go to Hot Springs for a soak in the natural mineral baths, so it was still a lovely day. (If the weather had been better, we would have loved ziplining or rafting just around the corner!) Thank you to the owners for sharing this lovely home so we could make family memories to treasure for a lifetime.
