Way off the beaten path and loved it
When they say you have no cell service where this cabin is, they aren't lying. If you're going to use Google maps, I suggest downloading an offline map of the area and using that, that's the only way Google maps will work. The property is way off the beaten path, I think we only had one car come by the house while we were there. The property was clean and very neat and a very nice place for the cost. Looking to book it again soon for the same whitewater adventure. House was clean and very neat, we were a

Just the place we needed.
My sister, cousin and I stayed at the property to be close to attend our older sister's Celebration of Life gathering on Black Pine Ridge Road. Comfortable, clean and convenient for us. Great little place for peace and quiet.

Family trip
This property was clean and could be described as rustic. It is remote as described with the nearest point of “civilization” being approximately 30 minutes away. The one thing I was not a fan of was that there was no keyless entry, the door was left unlocked with the key on the table, which made my family feel vulnerable. There is no cell service in this area; however, there is a home rotary phone and wifi. If you’re planning to visit this residence I would recommend making sure there is a man present as with a family of women and children, we were left feeling very vulnerable in the area. All in all, the home is cute, quaint, and clean so no complaints as far as that goes.

Beautiful, peaceful property
This was a gorgeous little cabin. We loved our stay here!!! Be aware that texts don't go through to the property owner. You need to call them instead to coordinate check-in. Also be warned that the property is not clearly marked, and it is a little difficult to find, especially at night. There is an old, rustic, musty cabin smell throughout the house, but the house itself is nicely updated and in clean condition.

Worse vacation ever
After drive 15 hours we arrive to this far away property and we found a strong smell on the property, in the mattresses and the closets. Small beds make the nights uncomfortable. The bath towels have a strong cockroach smell, In the morning we had to wash the old towels to be able to bathe. The property has dust and is not clean. The closets and kitchen drawers are full of hardware and every kind of stuff. The property smells terrible. The TV doesn’t work neither so we had to call the owners and they came to fix it. The kitchen had old and rusty pots. The bethrooms don't have curtains in the windows. There was clothes, old stuffs and spider webs in the bedroom closets. Last day we don't had running water in the property, so we decided to pack and come back home one day before. I am very disappointed with the property that I rent from you. All the description that is on the website is an inaccurate. This house is old and needs a lot of improvement in order to rent. This property is not in desirable condition. It was the worse vacation ever.

Amazing
This place is amazing and the owners are awesome. I actually enjoyed the fact the there was no wifi or cell phone reception because my got to know each other better. The neighbors are super friendly. Plus my kids love waking up to deers in the yard. The only suggestion I would make is blinds up to the bedroom windows.

Sparkling, Spotless home.
Arrive prior to dark or ask that lights be left on. You will loose cell service as you come off I26 but Waze took us all the way to the house!!! Beautiful setting. Open the windows and listen to the Babbling Brook while sleeping. I saw turkeys and deer in the yard early in the morning. Love the area.

Quiet and Spotless
Lovely place, spotless, owners very nice, we had a great relaxing time. Beautiful spot in the fall esp. Trees, a babbling stream, mountains, what more could you ask for. If I had any complaint at all - if you are cooking a meal, there are about 20 frypans, and one aluminum saucepan. If you need a pot or saucepan, bring one. There is no cell connectivity at all. I did know that beforehand. There is a landline that is not connected. We could have gone to a neighbor if we had an emergency but you may want to keep this mind.

Great house, well equipped, on a beautiful lush mountainside.
Great house, well equipped, on a great piece of Creation! But, it's really far drive to any towns or cities. Very curvy and dark remote roads to drive at night!

Everything was in impeccable shape. It was quiet and out of the way. Just what we wanted.
The property owners were very kind and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again! The town of Marshall is a small, quaint town that is the perfect place for getting away.

Situated in a beautiful area full of mountain streams. Lots of wildlife.
Situated in a beautiful area full of mountain streams. Lots of wildlife. My family and I had a great time in a very comfortable home. The home is a bit secluded which made it great. The stars at night were amazing! You could see the milky way! Beautiful moss gardens, butterflies, birds, and even salamanders along the streams. The only problem is that there is no landline which would come in handy in an emergency.

Our experience was great in this house. The only thing that would had made it better is if there was internet acess. Overall, the house was as described. We enjoyed having the a kitchen to prepared our own meals. If you are looking to get away from your everything that makes you stress out. This is the place to stay, since is away from the city.
