"We stayed here during the Summer of 2024 for a week. We opted for breakfast included during our stay and the large variety of options available was really good. Our twin room was spacious and clean and the pool area was really nice too. The hotel is walking distance to Valletta city centre, so was very convenient for us to get around. "The staff were very friendly and attentive. I was travellig alone, which isn't always easy, but they went out of their way to make me feel welcome and comfortable. "This is such a wonderful Hotel, all staff very kind, and accommodating. want to give a big shout out to one of the restaurant staff called Suhel, he was just outstanding to me and my parents on the trip, went above and beyond for what they needed and was so professional. All reception staff were incredible and were able to help with all enquiries. Spa was ok but stream room didn’t work and sauna kept getting cool over a period of time. A wonderful stay at the Grand Hotel Excelsior

"We have been several times to this hotel and, as always, we were not disappointed. The staff is as courteous as always, the room is large, airy, and super clean, and the breakfast really good....in short, it was a perfect stay which made our Christmas even better."

"I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff are all so friendly and professional when you arrive and throughout your stay. The room was lovey, clean and a good size. There is soundproofing but you can hear small bits of traffic (e.g emergency services) as it is on a main road but this didn’t bother me at and all I slept very well still. The area it is located isn't the nicest in Malta but I always felt safe being a solo female traveller even at night in the neighbourhood. This location is very easy to get transport from here as bus stops are just outside the door which is great. The bed was the most comfy bed I’ve ever stayed in to date so I slept the best I have in a while! I stayed over Christmas so only drawback is the gym wasn’t open and I didn’t receive any information relating to the gym in welcome letters or text so was quite l confusing. I will definitely be back here when I return to Malta again."

"The Adagio was exactly what I needed. A comfortable bed, a clean and nicely proportioned room, and all the facilities I needed to be comfortable for my ten day stay. Yes, you’re a 45 minute walk from Valletta, but the buses are quick, and the walk is lovely. There are some great cafes nearby (I recommend Coffee Circus and Cafe Brillace in particular), and the restaurant downstairs is great too. I cooked most nights (there’s a decent SPAR not far away), and that worked well, though I would have loved it if the hotel supplied olive oil (I do appreciate there are some hygiene issues… but it felt a shame to have to buy a whole bottle and leave most of it unused). All in all: a great stay. I moved to a ‘fancy’ hotel closer to Valletta for the final few days of my stay in Malta… and I really miss the comfortable, quiet apartment I had at Adagio."
