We stayed here for 6 nights in early Feb. We were collected from the airport by pre-arrangement which was a good decision as finding the riad for the first time is difficult.
The hotel is beautiful and smells amazing of fleur d'oranger, amber, jasmine and musk. On arrival, we were brought into the courtyard and offered mint teat and Moroccan pastries. The staff were very welcoming and spoke excellent English. They offered us a free upgrade to a suite which were delighted to accept.
The rooms are decorated in traditional Berber style and give a true Moroccan experience. The bathroom was large and had both a shower and bath. Toiletries, towels and dressing gowns were supplied. There were tea/coffee making facilities in the room, bottled water and a fruit basket.
Breakfast could be served on the roof terrace, in one of the downstairs salons or in the room. As the weather was good, we chose the roof terrace. Breakfast varied slightly each day and included a good selection of bread, Moroccan pancakes, croissants, fresh fruit and jams and yoghurt. I require a gluten free diet and this was well-catered for with freshly made gluten free bread and pancakes.
Once you know the way to the riad it is easy to find and as two lone female travellers it was safe to walk back at night, although we found that after 10.30pm it started to get very quiet in the area. We were given a mobile phone woth a number to contact if we ever got lost or ran into trouble.
We would definitely recommend!
