beautiful, colorful riad in Marrakech
what a beautiful stay we had in Marrakech to finish our 9 day trip through Morocco. Our taxi driver spoke to our host to get exact directions, and the hotel staff met us and helped carry our stuff. The riad itself it beautiful, warm, and inviting just like the hotel staff! We were greeted with tea in the courtyard. Our room was nicely decorated (also with heater, closet space, clean bath and shower [though without shower curtain]). There was always people and chill music in the courtyard giving it such a relaxing vibe. All our questions about food, shopping, sights were answered promptly and eagerly. The host even called the restaurant and made reservations for us, etc. Breakfast was great!- coffee, tea, OJ, pastries, boiled egg, olives, and more! And they have fes hats you can wear to take pics! This riad was a little farther from the main square, which is exactly what we wanted since we had already stayed at a riad in the center of things before. This time, we were closer to the newer parts of Marrakech and it was a nice change.

Nice staff and wonderful music players
The staff was great, they provide us lots of tips and directions on how to get to know the Medina and the different attractions in Marrakech. We stayed a couple of nights in the riad. On the first night, the hotel staff played wonderful Moroccan music, it was a very nice surprise. They sound wonderful! I fully recommend this riad.

Perfect Riad to stay in Marrakesh!
The staff is really nice and kind, the room extremely conformable and the location is walking distance from the most important places, but in a quiet and safe area. I will be back!

Old-world charm of a traditional riad
Traditional riad, not extensively modernised, but providing all the basic comforts for a relaxing stay. Good location for the northern Medina. The nearest landmark is the Bab Doukkala Mosque - the riad is signed down a narrow passage from the junction of Rue Bab Doukkala and Route Sidi Abdelaziz

Great place to stay
The Riad was in a great location. Breakfast in the courtyard was best way to start the day. Food was great and plenty of variety. Younis and his family were so friendly and did everything to make the stay as pleasant as possible. Thoroughly recommend this place to anyone staying in Marrakech

Haven of peace
Excellent welcome & hospitality throughout our short stay from Youssef & Zinab. They both took the time to talk and treat us as real guests in their home. Really good breakfast to start the day. Comfortable and well looked after room. We were on the top floor room with a little balcony overhanging the central courtyard with it's orange trees. This Riad is in a busy bustling area of the Medina once you step outside, but inside it's totally calm. Just one thing spoils the peace, the call to prayers from the nearby Mosque at 4:30 am just when you're in deep sleep!! Should have brought some earplugs.Even the locals think the Imam shouts too close to his microphone & have tried to reason with him!! Still, it's to be expected in a city with hundreds of Mosques, part of the Marrakech experience.

A wonderful Riad with lovely staff and atmosphere
It was a beautiful Riad in a great city location. A family run hotel with so much character. Staff were so friendly and welcoming, they took the time to give us advice on what to see/how to deal with the Souqs/shopping and looked over a map with us as soon as we arrived so that we could get our bearings. Breakfast was lovely and well organised. They also organised a desert trip for us, which we paid for at the end of our stay. I would definitely go back and I would definitely recommend this hotel for a real Moroccan Riad experience.

Great experience and ambiance in a good location
Riad Al Nour was a lovely oasis slightly off the beaten path in Marrakech, while still being conveniently located to explore the Medina. My wife and I spent 4 nights there in 2 different rooms, both of which were lovely. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly (big shout-out to Yussef!). Highly recommend.

Nice friendly hotel well situated
The staff were very friendly and helpful, there'a a lovely peaceful courtyard in the middle of the Riad which is a nice escape from the hecticness of the city. The room was nicely decorated, clean and the bed comfortable. The shower room was very basic but acceptable for the length of our stay. I've not stayed in other places in Marrakech so don't have much to compare to, but I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend.

Amazing value for money
This riad is about a 15 minute walk to the jemaa el fna and a 15 minute walk (the other way) to the majorelle jardins. It's a great location to explore the old and new towns by foot and gets you away from the mayhem of the souks. It is a very serene place within the riad (apart from the mosque megaphone, but they are all around the city so I imagine it's hard to miss this anywhere you stay). We particularly enjoyed the Moroccan vibe we experienced throughout our stay... Walking through lanes to the actual riad door and once stepping out of the 'hotel lane' you are immediately in 'locals territory' whereby the locals trade. The hosts of the riad are very, very nice people and gave us all the Information we needed during our stay, from how much we should be paying for the souvenirs we wanted, to how much we should pay for a horse and carriage ride (as you will initially be charged double) to where to eat (mama africas was recommended, which was a bar with a great atmosphere in the new town). The hotel courtyard couldn't be more Moroccan, where we enjoyed mint tea, coffee and breakfast everyday. On top of the riad is a small, quaint rooftop terrace to enjoy the sun. For us, we couldn't imagine a better value for money riad... The breakfast was hearty, with olives, drinks, breads, cheese, eggs and various pastries and the rooms were exactly what we were hoping for; cosy, clean and Moroccan! (We had the balcony room at the top which just poked out over the top of the orange tree

Best place to stay in marrakech. Feels like home!
We stayed in 3 different Riads in Marrakech and this is by far the best! Really, there is no better choice. The Riads are all beautiful... But what makes this place so very special is the family that runs the Riad Al Nour. Joussef, Younes, Sinab and little Selma made our stay unforgettable. We felt like we left as friends. Joussef gave us a warm welcome after we were picked up from the airport and gave us very helpful tips to make our stay easy. He organized a desert-trip for us, hamam, transfers, restaurants, everything we could possibly ask for. The Riad is located a 10 Minute walk to the main square and also 10 mins to some amazing sights in the new city. The other riads we stayed in were much closer to the main place and there it can be really difficult to find your way through the small streets and souks. We had to pay locals to guide our way back to the riads. This can sometimes end up in uncomfortable situations as the "guides" bring you to their shops rather than bringing you where you want to go. So, it's much better to be located a 10 minute walk away from the busy souks and you will safe yourself a lot of time, as you won't get lost all the time. When you need a break from the busy city you can just hang out at this quiet and cosy retreat. There was alway good music playing and you can have a chat with Younes. We enjoyed your company so much! Thanks for everything!!!!!!!

Send to the wrong Riad
Our taxi driver called the riad manager to know where to drop us off. The manager gave him the address of a different riad which didn't have a name on the door. When we asked the manager he said the name was inside... Anways he never mentionned we were being relocated to a different place, and gave us a room without a double bed as asked, and most importantly without a window. After being showed the room by the cleaning lady we tried to look for someone to talk about this but coulnd't until the checkout. The riad we were relocated to was his friend's riad: Riad wadate, they often work together apparently. It's infortunate that the manager coulnd't be honest with us since the begining, and give us a room equal to what we had ordered. We made sure to select a room with window in a riad with decent reviews...in the end we never even went there.

Schönes, gemütliches Riad in sehr zentraler Lage!

A faire absolument !!!
