"My husband & I and two other couples stayed at Penelope Home for 5 nights. The home is located about halfway between the 2 airports on Crete. (About an hour each direction) We liked the central location and enjoyed hikes, caves, the beach and other activities. The suggestions for restaurants and bakeries by our host were spot on. The host also handled our transfers which was very much appreciated."

"Dieses einfache Ferienhaus liegt 1km außerhalb des kleinen Dorfs Rodakino und ist sehr gut über die Küstenstrasse zu erreichen. Der nächst größere Ort Plakias ist zwar nur 15km aber auf der kurvigen Strecke 30min entfernt. Das Haus hat eine geschmackvolle Einrichtung, ein großes bequemes Bett und volle Küchenausstattung. "Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Zimmer sind sehr großzügig geschnitten und liebevoll eingerichtet. Alles Notwendige ist vorhanden. Nicht alles ist ganz neu, aber das unterstreicht den Charme des Hauses. Highlights waren für uns die große mit Wein überwachsene Terrasse und die vielen schattigen Plätzchen, z.B. unter dem Orangenbaum am Pool. Klitzekleiner Kritikpunkt: Die Matratzen in den Betten waren für uns eher hart, das ist sicher Geschmackssache. Fazit: Absolut empfehlenswert."

"This villa was perfect for our family of 5. The main level has a nice kitchen, living and dining room with 2 bedrooms and bathrooms. Perfect for my adult children to stay and to cook meals. The 2nd floor has a nice bedroom and bathroom and smaller kitchen and sitting area. Really nice to give me and my husband our own space. Both have fantastic balconies which we spent a lot of time on. "Alles in allem sehr schön. Ruhig, schöner Pool, sehr nette und hilfsbereite housekeeperin. Schnelle Kommunikation mit Vermieterin. Alles vorhanden was man braucht. Allerdings viele Krabbeltiere. Fliegengitter vor den Schiebefenstern und -Türen wäre extrem gut. Allerdings müsste man das Haus dann auch besser abdichten. Es dauert ewig (mehrere Minuten) bis heißes Wasser da ist. Fussboden ist wohl an einigen Stellen nass geworden. Müsste erneuert werden."
