"We had a wonderful 3 nights at The Sands. The property has so much character and commands one of the most picturesque spots in NZ. The staff are charming and go out of their way to make your stay special, great food in the restaurant also. It’s a special place to experience, staffed by a lovely bunch of people."

"Lovely place to stay, amazing views of the hokianga harbour, fantastic sunsets, great area, friendly locals, the place had everything we needed, we were all comfortable, unable to connect to wifi or get freeview going, but the property manager refunded us some money towards personal data. Only downfall for us, was that even though the property is pet friendly, its not fenced so we couldnt allow our fur baby to freely be outside and just relax, with the main road just below a worry, however great areas across the road for walks and the beach."
