"This villa was perfect for our needs. Two families of 8 people with teenage and adult daughters of 15, 15, 17 and 19 years. An amazing pool to cool down in that is a reasonable size for games, yet heated at the right temperature for the cooler, cloudier mornings. We hope the next group enjoy the inflatables we left as much as we did! The 3 bikes were handy for quicker trips to the supermarkets taking a left from the villa's main road and to see the flamingos taking a right on the main road. Lots...

"We loved our time spent at Carmo’s home in Aveiro. She was very thoughtful, and left some local treats and beautiful sunflowers for our enjoyment. Our infant also slept very well in the provided crib, which is quite a feat! The house is just a quick walk to the city center, and we were also able to enjoy Costa Nova and Coimbra while there as well! Carmo was responsive to our questions, and was so gracious and accommodating. Thank you so much for opening up your home to us!"

"We absolutely loved our stay. Eugenia was there to meet us when we arrived and walked us through the property. It was incredibly beautiful, well-done, spacious and accommodating. The house had more than we needed- more towels, more pillows, more everything- which was very appreciated. We used this spot as an anchor to visit Porto, Aviero and Bragga - which worked out perfectly. It was very convenient to visit these cities and then come home to a peaceful and relaxing experience. "The room was really just a bedroom in a house, but was very comfortable. The only real issue was in the shower-room as it was impossible to sit on the loo normally as the shower cubicle was so close. You really need binoculars to see the sea. The garden was rather untidy as there was some building work going on. Breakfast was excellent & Pedro was a very friendly host. The actual location of the house wasn't very attractive but don't worry, when you go around the back it's much nicer."

"Our stay at Casa de Muranzel provided a perfect place for relaxation and exploring the village of Torreira. It was also a great jumping off place for exploring further afield… a short trip to Aveiro and one hour drive to Porto. We all loved coming back to the house for a swim in the pool! Pedro was a warm and welcoming host. We appreciated his information about exploring local sights and restaurants. We would definitely recommend his lovely house to family and friends!"

"The continental breakfast was simple but always fresh. Cleaning staff asked every day if anything needed doing. Reception staff always ready to offer advice on where to dine, walk or visit depending on the amount of time we had that day. While I am aware that the hotel is not a 4 star hotel, the staff made it feel it could be. "
