"We had a lovely quiet stay in Joshua Tree. The description and pictures on VRBO were spot on. The interior is very lovely and pleasant, the location is very quiet with good views and the giant bathtub is awesome. Highly recommended."

"Overall, the place was clean and cute. Very minimalistic but with everything you would need. 2 Bedrooms and the Bubble. We were out there for work and decided to stay here versus a hotel and it was recommended to us by a friend. Though a cute place, we did run into some issues. 1. The last day we were there, the internet went out. So being there for work, this was not convenient. The owner did provide instructions in advance ensure this didn't happen, which we followed, but it still went out. Cell service is spotty so having internet is important. Being December in the desert, it was cold at night. The heater in the house didn’t work. Just blew cold air. 56 degrees inside the house. This didn’t make for a comfortable time at night or in the morning They had a great soaking tub with a view of the desert. We tried to use the tub but was only able to fill 1/4 of the way full because the water got cold, so this didn't work out. Once you book with them (VBRO) you will be asked to register through Marbella Lane. Just a heads up, as we didn't see this listed, there will be an additional $45 you will have to pay them for maintenance of the property. Unfortunately, this fee didn't work in our favor with the issues we encountered. Its about 4-5 miles off the main road, so bring food and drinks so you don't have to drive into town to get stuff. I emailed the owners the concerns and they said they will look into it. "

"Our family of 9 thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. There was still plenty of room had others joined us. Staring at the stars while lying on the hammocks or sitting around firepit by the pool was my favorite part of it all. We would definitely stay here again."

"The Cactus Cabin is a fun place to stay and play in. Unique in its decor and very well maintained. Everything is top of the line and in perfect working condition. The scenery, peace and quiet and stargazing were exceptional. We will make this cabin our home again soon. Locatiaway from the crowds for privscy. "

"This quiet cabin met all of my needs as a single person needing a meditative desert healing retreat. The cabin is set up in such a way that you feel totally at home and feels personal enough as if it's your own little hideaway. The location is great as it is truly 'out in the desert' yet just a short yet 'desert open view' ride into town. Stars & Solitude all the way. The owner has put a lovely personality to the space complete with twinkle lights...what more can one ask for? Annalee was Best and attentive Host! Highly recommend. "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at That Desert House. They had beautiful decor, thoughtful supplies (coffee, filters, and a water filter pitcher as well as ice cube trays. It was located out in the desert which was so freeing, wild, and beautiful. The hot tub was AWESOME. The house was mostly clean (no dishwasher so the dishes are washed by the guests and apparently not check because there were a few dirty ones in the drawer). They could really use a new living room rug for that was pretty filthy looking and feeling however in general everything was great. There are two bathrooms in the back shower did not get hot so we just used the one main one. The water pressure was so so but it could have been worse. The rental company did not have a way to text them with concerns, just call, so we never really contacted them with our concerns. It was fine. The washer and dryer was really nice too. The house is off a dirt road but very doable for any car. "
