Rare White Turtle-Stayed May 2019
White turtles are a rare find and so is St Lucia’s very own White Turtle Villa! This secluded two story home with 3 balconies that all have a breathtaking view of the ocean was an amazing place for my husband and I to celebrate our 2 year anniversary.
I am a stickler for cleanliness and this Villa passed the clean test with flying colors! I was impressed with the upkeep of the house and was pampered with a one day maid and pool cleaning service (I believe these services depends of your length of stay). Nina, the property manager was so attentive and helpful. She showed my husband and I the house, gave us tips about the island and shared activities that took place during our stay. The owners really did think of just about any and everything that a guest would need when renting their home.
The pool was absolutely stunning! The greenery surrounding the pool made for great privacy. I’m not a swimmer, but I couldn’t resist dipping in the pool a few times. My husband on the other hand made a point to utilize the pool everyday! The outdoor shower was a plus. It was very private and spacious.
The bedrooms were on the ground floor which was different for my husband and I, but both rooms stayed nice and cool and we loved sitting out on the deck off the master bedroom in the morning. It was so peaceful with the sound of birds chirping.
The owners left a book with helpful tips of places to eat and things to do.
My husband and I enjoyed the restaurants in Marigot Bay and ventured off to Rodney Bay to the Big Chef Steakhouse...delicious! I’m not huge on eating Indian cuisine; however, Masala Bay in Marigot Bay was one of my all time favorite restaurants in St. Lucia. We had to eat there twice!
My husband and I also experienced a zip line tour and “be a captain for a day” tour. Our tour guides were so friendly and knowledgeable which made both excursions enjoyable!
In our opinion, the only scary part about St. Lucia are the roads. My husband and I rented a Jeep through Island Car (recommendation by the owners). Our drivers were super cool, safe drivers, and informed us about things to do on the island. When it came time for my husband to drive, he didn’t realize that everything was opposite of how we drive where we’re from. The roads tend to be steep and they're what I like to call ditches on the side of the road. After day two my husband was pretty familiar with the car and roads!
To sum up, our trip to St. Lucia was outstanding and the one thing that made it so relaxing was to have the opportunity to stay at the beautiful White Turtle! Without a doubt I would visit again and stay in the same Villa. I strongly recommend you visit the White Turtle too!
