"We had a fabulous weekend celebrating our 40th anniversary at the Shoe House. The house is beautifully decorated with every detail thought of by the hosts. We spent our weekend cooking together, playing games, sitting out by the fire pit and enjoying the hot tub. Sleeping accommodations are comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked. The downstairs family room is where we gathered the most and having a full refrigerator, bar, and coffee station was a huge plus. We had a fabulous memorable time....

"This was our 4th time staying in the Bird House and we had another enjoyable time. We love the country location it makes us feel like home. This time we enjoyed the York Herb and Garden Festival on Friday and spent a lot of time visiting the Amish Greenhouses. We cook most of our meals to spend time with our dogs but we did order take our from Caruso's Italian Restaurant and it was great and only 5 minutes away so still very hot when we arrived back to the house. We would highly recommend it and...

"Absolutely loved this property. The house was as welcoming and homey as your own! The fridge was nicely stocked with essentials upon arrival (even had organic yogurt pouches for my little one). The basement is nice and wide open for little ones to run around! The beds are all firm memory foam which I am not a fan of but of course that is preference! "

"This cottage is in a great location with close proximity to Sight & Sound, shopping, Strasburg, etc. We had plenty of space for 7 family members in 3 generations. "

Going back to Mount Gretna every evening was much better than a hotel, and the hosts of Butterfly Cottage thoughtful, communicated well and made sure the cottage was clean and well-appointed. "We really liked staying at this charming house. Plenty of room for the five of us and the doggie decor was warm and friendly. Getting to the front porch of the house (via GPS) was a bit of a challenge since Google Maps didn't know that there were footpaths leading to it but once we found it all was perfect!"

Not only was it a convenient 3-minute drive from the venue, but we were very close to downtown Lancaster and all the weekend festivities. Having our own private entry was a bonus due to our early flight home on check-out day. Catherine was quick to respond to any inquiries and was a gracious host. Would highly recommend this quaint apartment for your next stay!"
