You are only a few minutes' drive from the ski piste in winter. The Bürgeralpe is a family-friendly ski area with perfectly groomed pistes. The 2.5 km long natural toboggan run also guarantees fun for young and old. The Mariazeller Bürgeralpe is also an absolute insider tip for ski tourers, with three trails available for the ascent. There are also several cross-country ski trails close to the accommodation.
For hikers in summer, three adventure mountains in the immediate vicinity offer the opportunity to enjoy the fresh mountain air. After a strenuous hike, you can cool off in the nearby Erlaufsee lake.
Mariazell is one of the most important places for pilgrimage in Austria, and the Mariazell Basilica has been visited by pilgrims worldwide for many years.
