"Drove by the Oberoi Resort often while staying in Ubud over the past several years and often thought of staying there. This trip I had two reasons to stay there. I wanted to avoid the traffic on the long drive to Uber and I wanted to be near the airport small reasons to stay in a hotel with a great reputation, but they worked wonders for me during this stay Bali has become a traffic nightmare which all but the most blasé visitor will want to avoid. "It was ok, staff were excellent, room was neat & tidy, mattress was very hard which we didn’t like. The pool was ok but a bit weird being so close to reception & the restaurant. Be nice if the roof top section with spa was open past 7pm for drinks at night. "

"I cannot say enough good things. The staff really made our stay. So friendly and welcoming. Especially Wai Yan (sp?) who made delicious happy hour drinks at the poolside bar. I feel like I made a new friend as we had several great discussions! The pool is beautiful and very quiet (we were there in low season - Feb) the breakfast was also incredible and so was room service. There was construction going on for a couple of hours every day which was very noisy at the pool. I wish I had known that...

"An all round amazing stay! All the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was FANTASTIC; comfy large bed, great size balcony and fruit plates!! We had an elephant directly outside our room but could see 5 in the mornings. The park itself is beyond words; the elephant interactions are next level but the grounds a alaso beautiful, so many different plants and little hidden benches all through the park. "Stay here if you want a relaxing visit near Ubud. Takes an hour and half from the airport and 30ish minutes from the center of Ubud without traffic. The grounds are beautiful. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was absolutely delicious, ordered a la carte. I had dinner onsite and ordered room service as well. Both meals were delicious and the presentation was beautiful. They offer complimentary tea and small bites in the afternoon. That was enjoyable. I stayed in a room overlooking the smaller pool. The room was basic, but had everything I needed. The only negative was that my room was near the housekeeper room and I could hear them go and out often but I was rarely in my room. I would highly recommend this place and come back and stay in their villas. "

"This was our third time with Vira. The staff never disappoints and are all so nice, friendly and polite. The food quality is excellent. Special thank you to the complimentary transport from/to airport, particularly when I left my laptop bag in the car when we got to the airport and the driver came back when I realized my error and delivered it. Simply brilliant, than you so much."

"The staff were very helpful. I enjoyed the buffet breakfast every morning, as there was a wide selection of options to choose from. The complimentary Balinese massage was another great addition by the hotel and I was especially impressed with the hospitaly of the ladies at the Spa. "
