Montgomery Bay Lodge On Lake Gogebic

Montgomery Bay Lodge is a 4,000 sq ft fully furnished, four bedroom, three bath property with wraparound deck that sleeps 10 comfortably. It offers a rustic feel with log siding and extensive woodwork, yet all of the modern conveniences of a newly built home.

The lodge layout includes two bedrooms & full bath on the main floor (1 Queen & 2 Twins), a master suite in the loft (1 King, full bath), and a huge fourth bedroom and full bath in the walkout basement (1 Queen, 2 twins).

The main floor includes a spacious living & dining area overlooking Lake Gogebic through a wall of windows. Gourmet kitchen with cherry cabinets, island with seating for three, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances. Full size laundry facilities are available in the master suite.

A finished, walkout basement offers a spacious recreation area including flat screen TV, table / chairs, and dry bar with fridge, microwave, and coffee maker.

The grounds cover nearly 8 acres of wooded terrain, 400 ft of frontage on Lake Gogebic, a pier with swim ladder and electric boat hoist, and a fire pit for roasting marshmallows and watching the sunset.

Enjoy WiFi internet and 4G LTE signal throughout the house enabling calls and internet access from your smartphone.

Direct access to groomed Snowmobile & ATV trails at the end of the driveway. Public boat launch, gas, and restaurant / bar all within 1 mile of the property.

We tied the knot at Bond falls! This was the location we used for our siblings to stay with us and to get ready / do family meals. It was great! Very clean, and spacious. Beautiful master lost bedroom!!!!! (View of lake from bed) Would definitely recommend for families and get togethers up north!

Great property with a great view of Lake Gogebic! If you snowmobile, boat or fish, it’s perfect, as you can access the property right off of the lake. Lots of room for everyone in the home!

Made the best of the winter
Our group of 10 snowmobilers dwindled down to 2 but we made the best of the trip. This house would have been perfect for our group if there was only snow. The owner was great to work with, plenty of parking and very clean! Hoping for snow next year!

Beautiful home on lake in secluded setting
Spent a week enjoying the privacy and serenity this home offered as we toured the various sites in the western U.P. At times the lack of air conditioning was an issue due to the very hot weather the week we were there and the many uncovered windows and doorwalls, but the lower level was always cool and the views through the windows were wonderful.

Fish, cornhole, cards, sleep & repeat. Everything we needed and more. If you respect how a property is cared for and are willing to do the same….this is the place to stay. Prime location for fishing. Great Time
Enjoyed our stay here, the tweens and teens especially enjoyed using the lake for paddle boarding and fishing. It would have been nice for the entire dock to have been in place but apparently it had been pulled because of a recent storm. The house was good for us, three blended families meeting from different parts of the country. Lots of room. Although it was warm in the late afternoon the house always cooled down by late evening which made for good sleeping weather. Would try this rental again if the families could each tolerate 1200 mile drives to get there.

50th Anniversary Family Vacation
This vacation was a celebration for my parents 50th anniversary and this house and location did not disappoint. As a party of 9, we all fit comfortably in the home. The property provided the privacy, peace, and serenity we were after. A great place to unwind and really soak in the beauty that nature provides. We had kayaks delivered to the house from Sylvania Outfitters, went swimming in the lake, caught some fish, and spent many nights around the fire. Jason provided a lot of information prior to our trip and was very helpful. Porcupine Mtn. State park was beautiful and enjoyed a meal at Konteka Black Bear Resort. If I had to complain about anything I would say some of the kitchen pans / baking sheets need replaced and possibly some trash containers to place trash bags in until you are ready to drive over to the dumpster. Nothing that stopped us from having a wonderful time and building memories that we will cherish forever. Thank you Jason for sharing your home with us!

This home was very large and secluded. Accomodated our group of 10 well. Right on the lake and the boat lift was very convenient. Definitely take the owner's advice and don't plan to leave boats tied to the pier overnight. It gets way to wavy for that. Mosquitos weren't bad at all during the day but nasty at night. We were a bit limited in what we could do there this time of the year as the fishing wasn't great, most businesses were closed due to COVID, and even 10 mph winds make the lake difficult to boat on. None of this was the fault of the owners however. We enjoyed visiting nearby waterfalls, doing a kayak trip, and visiting the Lake of the Clouds on the colder days. The inside of the home was comfortable and clean for the most part. A couple of things came up. We had to wash a number of dishes when we arrived as food was still stuck on them. We had water streaming in through multiple patio doors and windows during a storm one night so had to spend some time during the middle of the night trying to clean up the flooding from that. It must not have been the first time as there was mold on the trim of the doors. We also had to buy mouse traps and set them up as we had some mice in the basement. The beds were comfortable. They had board games to enjoy and the wifi was handy for those needing to do some work while there. They also have box fans there, which was nice as it gets very warm inside the home on hot days with no air conditioning. Be sure to plan for no grocery stores nearby and limited gas/restaurant options as well, especially during COVID. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but also feel some improvements could be made.

Trees block the incredible lake view, patio doors beautiful but taped shut
Beautiful lake frontage but over grown trees block the lake view from the deck and house- all the double patio doors were taped shut and could not be used- out of 5 deck doors only one could be used to access the deck and it was opposite of the kitchen area. Super odd. Also the oven did not heat up and the owner claimed they had plans for a fix prior to stay but it did not get fixed. Ice dispenser did not work in fridge door- ice trays all weekend. Toaster did not work and this was the first time I stayed at a VRBO that didn't have coffee at the location, which in the middle of Lake Gogebic isn't great. pretty disappointing overall - beautiful place - just needs so up keep and deep cleaning. Dead flies everywhere and dust under everything, dead bugs in lights on deck (inches deep). Huge house and bedrooms and living area were outstanding sizes for the group, just not really clean and a few disappointing things for the money.
