"Brilliant overnight stop over with 3 kids. We had 3 bedrooms. Great price and so helpful that bed linen and towels included. Jean Luc was lovely and put us in one with a pool and even brought some inflatables out for the kids. We stayed here last year as well, will definitely come again. Only dropped 1 point on comfort as it just happened it was 36 degree last night and the bedrooms were really hot nothing you do about it really. Next time we may bring a small fan. It wasn’t an issue last...

"Nothing like the pictures when we booked. Very shabby accommodation. One indoor very crowded pool and No facilities on site, you have to go int Saumur which is a lovely city. You have to pay extra for bedding . Beds uncomfortable and furniture all very old. Definitely not worth the money. "

"A fascinating property with a history. Fabulous views of the chateau from the bedroom windows and from the courtyard. Right in the centre of Saumur, but had a large heated indoor swimming pool. The extra treat was the pool table and pinball machine. It was easy enough to reverse the cars into the courtyard with practice. "Despite some unseasonal cold and wet weather and suffering from colds caught on the ferry from GB we really enjoyed our 2 weeks at L’Abeille Bleue. What made it so great was the warmth of our hosts Didier and Patricia, a most welcoming and generous couple. Didier was so concerned that we understood how the heating system worked (we really needed it!) that he came in twice to check that we understood it.
