"We visited CML during the dry season and selected it for its closeness to the national park and some of its most famous treks. The room we stayed in was spacious, warm (with a fireplace stocked with plenty of wood) and light. The water was fresh to drink from the tap (which is a bonus here in Peru!) and was warmed by solar panels; likewise, the shower stayed warm for a long time and maintained good levels of pressure. "The place is big and comfortable, the shower is perfect - hot with good pressure. Breakfast is good - eggs, bread and jam, coca tea, coffee and juice. The staff are great and knowledgeable about tours and can arrange them for you . The only negative is that there are many neighbourhood dogs which are so noisy barking all night that I couldn't sleep well. Bring earplugs. The hotel is highly recommended."
