My husband and I absolutely loved the Bait House! We visited at the end of February, and the day right before our trip temperatures dropped into the low 30's. I was nervous about the outside shower and the heating with these unforeseen freezing temps, but it was zero issue at all. In fact, I'm confident the outside shower was an even better experience because of the cold temperature! And, with the extra space heater provided, we were more than comfortable. The property was incredibly unique, obviously well cared for and maintained, and it was a lot of fun to explore. The Bait House itself was sturdy, clean, well-built, and also very well maintained. We slept comfortably and had everything we needed! We spent two nights and three days at the Bait House. While visiting, we spent a lot of our time in Marble Falls, and the 10-minute drive there was no big deal at all. It's beautiful country out there, so I found it very enjoyable driving anywhere. I'd highly recommend Flat Creek Estates if you're into wine, and there are SO many outdoor places to explore -- Balcones Canyon Lands (Doeskin Ranch, specifically) is beautiful and very nearby, then you've got Turkey Bend, Cow Creek, Shaffer Bend, and the list goes on. Even in Marble Falls the park system they have is quite large and enjoyable to walk around. So if you're looking for somewhere in the Texas Hill Country with lots of charm and plenty to do nearby, definitely check this place out!
