With no neighbors on either side of the home, this is the ideal spot for personal space at our 100 foot wide lot in the middle of the Keys! The mangrove trails of Boot Key are only a 10 minute paddle from the backyard in the 2 provided kayaks. Twin Dolphin is situated on a wide, deep water, canal less than 200 yards from Boot Key Harbour, home to the ever popular Burdines and Chiki Tiki Grill. With plenty of dockage for your boat (up to 40') and space at the house to park your boat trailer, and just around the corner by water from the beginning of the famous Seven Mile Bridge, this is truly a vacationer’s paradise. Sombrero Reef, with its crystal clear water, is a snorklers and divers delight which can be reached in a very short boat ride from Twin Dolphin! Bring your own boat, rent one here or charter a fishing or dive/snorkel trip. The options are truly endless! Beautiful Sombrero Beach is just a kayak paddle away through Boot Key Harbor in one of the 2 provided kayaks.
Closer to home, in the canal front backyard you can clean your day's catch waterside at our fish cleaning station, wash away the heat and salt of the day in our private outdoor shower and settle in for some relaxation or swimming in our 16' heated (or not!), jetted swimming pool spa. The shade of the tiki hut is a perfect setting to enjoy your morning coffee, your nightcap, and everything in between! And of course, the waterside hammock under the coconut palms is the ideal location for those much needed siestas! For the more energetic, you can drop the provided kayaks in the water and explore Boot Key and the surrounding canals. You're likely to see Manatee, Dolphin and a wide range of fish and other wildlife!
Indoors, you'll find Twin Dolphin very accommodating for your vacation needs and comfort. The amply supplied kitchen provides everything you should require for preparing the simplest to the extravagant meal. With granite countertops and plenty of workspace, looking out to the beautiful patio and beyond to the water should make "kitchen duty" a breeze! The Twin Dolphin dining table seats 6 in our cheerful sun/dining room; however, most opt for meals under the TikiHut. The living area is perfect for air conditioned relaxation while enjoying your favorite shows or sporting events on the new 60" television with DISH TV programming and internet capability. The 2 bedrooms feature queen size beds, plenty of closet and drawer space, and one is equipped with an internet capable television with DISH TV and a built in DVD player. The full bathroom has a tub/shower combination. There is also a comfy new queen size sleeper sofa in the living area for additional sleep space. The washer and dryer allow you to pack less and return home with clean clothes! The bait freezer is for your use during your stay as well. And rest assured, the home has central air conditioning for reprieve from your tropical vacation!
Located at Mile Marker 48.5, on a quiet residential street directly off of Highway One (The Overseas Highway), we're in the perfect spot for walking or bicycling as we're less than a mile from Publix, West Marine, the 33rd Street Public Boat Ramp, Walgreens, Home Depot, and a large variety of restaurants, including ocean front grills and bars! Twin Dolphin truly couldn't be in a more convenient location by land or water. Come explore the Florida Keys at your home away from home, Twin Dolphin!
Please note, our home is a well constructed single family home with a yard and trees! Be sure to do your homework as many listings are modular/mobile homes situated on concrete slabs with no yard and the next mobile home just an arms length away. There will be no unpleasant surprises if you decide to vacation at Twin Dolphin!
