Waterfront Classic Kiwi Bach

This classic waterfront kiwi bach sleeps up to nine people. There is a swimming pool as well as safe swimming for kids at the sandy beach.

-two sheltered covered outdoor areas and an outdoor fireplace.
-fish from the rock wall on the property
-plenty of secure parking for a boat and other vehicles
-an open fire, heat pump, double glazed windows, underfloor insulation.

-walk to Mapua Village and the Wharf (brewery bar, wine bar, dining ice creams)

This is our family bach. It is classic kiwiana where some things have remained the same for the last 70 years, but there's still modern conveniences like a dishwasher and heatpump. You can really relax and not be too precious. It is great for kids.

Cosy in the winter and cool in summer. A great base for day trips to the Abel Tasman National Park, wineries or the Great Taste Trail. Only 15 minutes from Richmond and Motueka and 25 from Nelson City.

Access is via a lockbox.

Beautiful Place!

This is the sweetest bach to stay at. You can feel the family memories and heart when you walk in. Breathtaking views of the ocean, great set up for families and an amazing location.

We had a wonderful 3 week stay in this lovely Bach which was the perfect place to stay whilst we settled into New Zealand life after emigrating here. Beautiful location with the sea on your doorstep and lovely peaceful country around the property. Well equipped and a toasty fireplace for the spring evenings. I can imagine it would be fantastic in the summer with the pool and the outside space.

Jackson Family Wedding stay

Great house, has everything you need, was a great base to come and go as we where in the area for a wedding, cosy, comfortable,and private very handy to shops, we where really impressed photo's don't do it justice was lovely and clean and felt very welcoming.

What a wonderful place. Amazing location and view. We were very confortable and the bach had all we needed and more and was clean and tidy. Would really come into its own in the warmer months given how its so well set up for outdoor living etc. But we were warm and loved in the winter too. Thanks for sharing it.

Great family getaway

Stayed here with our family of 5 and loved the place. Right at the beach for the kids to explore. Lots of amenities in the house to make it comfortable.Emma was really helpful and great with communication when we needed anything. Would recommend /stay again! :)

Special Mapua Bay Bach

The bach had a lovely feel about it… very pretty views of the ocean, a great little kitchen, full of charm with an open fire for cold evenings.

We really enjoyed our time at this ocean side quintessential kiwi bach. Great internet connection allowed for seamless streaming, when required. Excellent collection of books to pass the time if the weather isn't great.Really nice deck area with lots of seating options.Kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need

Lovely property in a perfect location in Mapua village with waterfront access. Fully equipped for indoor or outdoor dining, very comfortable, great space for the family to relax. Communication with the host was very easy. I would highly recommend and we would definately want to stay again.

What a spot!

Felt like we were a million miles away, but only 20mins from home. Emma’s Bach is fabulous, everything you need, spacious and the sunrise was amazing over the beautiful still water. Easy walk down into Mapua. Thank you for sharing your space with us.

Awesome venue for fun times

We loved the location and the indoor/outdoor areas compelled us to cook in instead of heading to one of the many incredible restaurants at Mapua which we'd been looking forward to. That tells you how good it felt. It has a great outdoor fire and covered seating area which was perfect at the end of a cycling day and heading into a cooler autumn evening. It worked well after we tidied it up although there is no lighting out there once it gets dark. It sleeps 9 with bunkbed options and there were 8 of us/4 couples. A bit of a squeeze and only one bathroom - all of which we knew beforehand and made work.

Stormy getaway

While we couldn't utelise everything this wonderful Bach had to offer (it would be AMAZING in Summer) it delivered in other ways. The cozy fire, indoor drying racks and washing machine were perfect. Wooden floors and fully equipped kitchen. No flooding, location felt safe in the storm and the sea views were perfect.
