Do you want to be close to the waterfront in Old Town Manteo? Then, welcome aboard private yacht " STARRY BANNER ". This award winning vintage yacht was privately commissioned to Tiffany Yachts to cruise the Atlantic Coast. The Starry Banner is now available to our guests, for their accommodation, who would like a unique vacation experience. Join us on the waterfront, in the Historic Old Town Manteo Waterfront Marina. The Starry Banner was featured on the Manteo Christmas homes tour in 2014! Then, in 2015, the Starry Banner won " Best Power Boat – Owner Restored" award in the Manteo Wooden Boat Show. Why don't you be the judge ~ welcome aboard, and enjoy all that the wonderful town of Manteo and Roanoke Island has to offer right at your own dock!

Starry Banner vacation
Katherine and Dan were wonderful hosts of their yacht the Starry Banner. We were able to bring our dog and we all enjoyed our unique stay. They went above and beyond to make our stay memorable,down to fresh flowers and special treats for our pooch.

What a beautiful boat and the location is perfect. You never have to move your car everything is within walking distance. Great place to visit and relax. Don and Katherine are super host if anything goes wrong or you need anything they are right there to help.

Wonderful location and relaxing stay
We spent 8 nights on the Starry Banner and it was fantastic! The location is perfect. Easy walking to shops and restaurants and a quick drive to Nags Head and beyond. The boat had everything we needed and it was so relaxing to be there. The only drawback was spotty internet, but I just took that as a good sign that I should unplug! I would definitely recommend a stay here.

Sweet town!
Dan and Katherine were so sweet! The boat is decorated so beautifully and we felt at home for our short stay. The town is a Mayberry sort of town with everything quiet by 9 pm which was great. Would definitely recommend! Hope to stay there again😊

Great Stay!
Had a fantastic stay on the Starry Banner! Really appreciate how clean it was - I'm talking VERY clean. The kitchen was very well stocked with cooking supplies (pots, pans, dishes, etc.) so we had fun making some meals on the boat. Definitely recommend if you want an out of the ordinary stay in the OBX.

Had a wonderful time aboard The Starry Banner! It definitely exceeded our expectations. Dan and Katherine are amazing hosts. They were very prompt with answering questions and gave us several great suggestions on various places to eat and things to do around the area. The location is great, within walking distance of several restaurants and shops. They also offer sunset sailboat cruises, which I highly recommend! Would definitely stay at The Starry Banner again.

My husband would like to live on a boat so what better way to see what it would be like than to rent one for a few nights. It was a wonderful relaxing experience. We would definitely rent a boat again. Manteo is a very welcoming town, we really enjoyed the area and our stay on the Starry Banner.

Spent the week of July 4th and can’t say enough about the extraordinary vacation experience! Starry Banner was just as depicted....very clean, well appointed and an unusual and enjoyable experience. Katherine and Dan go out of their way to ensure the property is set up properly and explain the nuances and practices for living on board. The "yacht" has been metculously restored and is moored in an excellent location in the Manteo marina within walking distance of everything you might want or need. Parking was also very accessible. For a fun, different and enjoyable stay you really should climb a board Starry Banner.

Wonderful Anniversary Trip
What a great and unique experience. We enjoyed just sitting on the boat in the evening with a cocktail and talking to people who strolled by on the boardwalk. You literally are in walking distance of shops and restaurants in quaint downtown Manteo. It is a quick drive to go sit on a beach and relax. Plus all kinds of things to do and see on the outer banks. Dan and Kathy were absolutely wonderful hosts. We even had flowers on the boat along with an anniversary card. Very special.

Katherine and Dan are truly wonderful hosts! I traveled solo with my pup, Oakley Alexander (Yorkie), and they ensured we both had a wonderful stay! The Starry Banner was cozy and had had a nice ‘homey’ feel…very nicely decorated and equipped with everything I needed, and more! The best experience on the boat is being rocked gently to sleep every night! For the busy professional, this is HEAVEN! I traveled to the OBX for a change of scenery…a ‘workation,’ if you will, and although I worked most days during the week on the boat, I found it very relaxing and just what I needed to power through a tough week! On a scale of 1-5, I give my experience with Katherine and Dan a 10!

Perfect vacation - Peaceful and relaxing
We travel a lot and are tired of hotel rooms this was the perfect alternative. It allowed us to stay in the center of the beautiful historic town of Manteo within walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants and shopping. The beaches are a short drive away as are local places of interest. The galley (kitchen) was a good size and large fridge which was very convenient, loved the ice maker! The Starry Banner was very comfortable for my husband, my daughter and myself. I spent breakfast, lunch and evenings up on the bridge, I think Sharon thought I slept up there!! What a view, and wonderful place to relax, read and watch the kids jump off the bridge. Sharon was a great host and we would definitely recommend a stay on the Starry Banner.

Fabulous Inside and Out!
The first moment we saw the Starry Banner, we couldn't believe it! From the lines of the yacht to the decor and to the cleanliness we were thrilled. Beautifully appointed, it came with ultra-luxurious linens in the stateroom and was stocked with basically everything you would need for your first night so that you wouldn't have to run out to the grocery store after the long trip down. Sunny and sweet, Sharon was even there a few slips down to come by and greet us and make us feel welcome. We felt like we made friends with Sharon and Bob. Manteo is definitely a treat. Charming and quaint with wonderful people, Manteo and the Starry Banner will be our new vacation spot for years to come.

"Unforgettable Anniversary Getaway: Aboard the Starry Banner Boat in Monteo"
My husband and I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary aboard the Starry Banner boat in Monteo, and it was truly unforgettable! Even more special, we brought our two cats, and they surprisingly loved it despite being boat novices. The boat itself was a sight to behold - elegant, spacious, and immaculately clean. Its location on the dock provided stunning views that enhanced the experience. We were so captivated by its beauty that we extended our trip by an extra day. Relishing the boat life, we spent hours on the upper deck, absorbing the charming vibes of Monteo town. It felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience we'll always treasure. Katherine and Dan, the hosts, were warm and caring. They recommended local restaurants, ensuring we savored the best of Monteo's cuisine. They even suggested the finest beach in Nags Head. Our stay was beyond delightful, and we're already planning to return soon. The Starry Banner boat is an exceptional choice for a unique vacation in Monteo. Highly recommended!
