"Lady on reception when arrived was lovely, the lady on saturday and sunday morning was not even friendly, like she didn't want to be there and when we asked for more bread as this had run out at breakfast, its like it was too much trouble for her and she was miserable. Location was good 5 mins to train/bus station and about 10 mins to the centre. Bathroom was dirty, room was basic but ok and window opened wide, which was good. "Stunning castle and grounds, nicely appointed with very traditional furnishings. Well maintained. Grégoire, his wife and family were gracious hosts - we felt most welcome during our week-long stay. We stayed in the old block and small tower, away from the main tower. Some may find the accommodation a bit spooky, we did, but after the first night we found it added to the adventure. Not quite silence - there are sheep a couple of fields away and the hum of insects gorging on the flowers. Walks through the fields and woods in the area from the front door.
