Fabulous stay in fun Manitowish getaway (+Pontoon)

Welcome to “Mani Bay Chalet”. This excellent Manitowish Waters cabin has been furnished to a great standard. It’s the ideal retreat for a water-bound & adventure-filled stay, located on the Manitowish River between Rest and Stone lakes. We believe it’s the ultimate location to experience the area the way it should be. Get ready to get inspired! Settle in by zoning out with the whole family in a professionally cleaned home while you gaze over “Oxbow Bay.”
Unfiltered fun for everyone!
This property is amazing all year round for a visit to the lakes.

The Manitowish Waters Chain O Lakes is an enjoyable trek for quiet water canoeists and kayakers. From its origin at
High Lake, the river flows for nearly 44 miles before joining with the Bear River to form the North Fork of the Flambeau River. The 20-mile section featured in this guide is nestled in the northwest corner of the 232,000-acre Northern Highlands-American Legion State Forest. Paddlers will find mostly flatwater with occasional riffles as you glide by open marsh and lush, northern lowland forest. A large number of sloughs provide excellent opportunities for exploration
and bird watching. One of the state's more popular canoe camping rivers is the river, with seven overnight camp areas spread out between Circle Lily Creek and the Bear River confluence.

The frequent wide-open spaces of the marshlands immediately surrounding the river make bird watching easy. Warblers, sparrows, finches, thrush, woodpeckers, wood ducks, and hooded mergansers, are just a few of the species that inhabit the riverway in summer. Eagles are also common; you’ll occasionally see one of their massive nests in a tall pine near the river. Beaver and otter are often spotted, and you’ll sometimes see: fisher, white-tailed deer, raccoon, red squirrel, and the occasional black bear. Our “Mani Bay Chalet” includes a sloped pursuit to the water where kids can play.

Manitowish Waters has a ten lake chain with several restaurants on the waters, free water
skiing shows, and concerts on the water.
Loads to do for all tastes, from outdoor adventures for local explorers to total isolation for those
who prefer the homely and the comfy!
Self-check-in with smart lock access
This superbly styled chalet makes for a perfectly comfortable getaway. Ideal for large groups of friends & family looking for the ultimate "outdoors" stay. Great for people looking for an exquisite Manitowish Waters home. Perfect if you want to be far, far away from any inner-city hustle and bustle. Comfortable, calm, and convenient. As we have space for work and superfast internet, we can even simulate your "home office" too. You know, if you absolutely have to get that report finished. For more active pursuits, hiking in this area is epic. There are several hiking/biking trails that take you on various magnificent nature adventures. If hiking is not your thing, you can picnic on the deck or seclude yourself there for some peace and quiet. We love to go that extra mile, so you feel like you are at home.

We uphold the highest standards in having our property cleaned by a professional cleaning company. We leave a broad period between each booking for you to feel extra secure regarding the property's cleanliness. We were always focused on spotless and clean, and in current times we increased this feature exponentially. Without a doubt, this place makes for a true "revival" for those in need of one. We are sure you will enjoy this home.

We'll supply you with:
- High-end bed Linen
- Towels
- Toiletries
- Fast & Free WiFi
- Free use of bikes, canoe, & Kayaks! (Available April through October)
- Free use of pontoon boat! (Available May through mid-October)

We guarantee a private stay. No sharing, no disturbances. To make sure you have the basics without having to leave the chalet to get them.

We have provided teas and coffee, so all that's left for you to do is relax and settle in after your journey. Or, if you prefer, you can enjoy a refreshing shower; we have stocked the bathrooms with gentle toiletries.

**Are you bring a boat or a trailer? You'll appreciate the horseshoe driveway with plenty of parking. No need to back up the 29 footers and room to navigate.**

Family fall get-a-way
The property was great. The home was just as the listing stated. The lot is wide and level which was perfect for getting down to the boat as well as having some privacy. The screened-in sitting area was fantastic for game nights before finishing up at the firepit. We had a really nice time.

Outstanding Northwoods Retreat
This place has it all-- Top notch accommodations, peaceful setting, great views, varied amenities, responsive host and much more. My husband & I needed a relaxing vacation & that is exactly what we got! Manitowish Waters has been our "Happy Place" for over 40 years and the restaurants, bike trails, navigable chain of lakes, natural beauty, etc. are unparalleled anywhere. Yes, I'm biased, but it's true. We will be back.

This home and location are fantastic. Loved everything about it! Well appointed, clean and so cozy. Wish I were back there now! Our boys loved building fires outside, kayaking in the bay and the pontoon was a major bonus! Jake was super responsive too!

Mani Bay was a perfect vacation rental in an incredible location and perfect for families.
We were excited to be able to stay on the Manitowish chain, and were just hopeful that the Mani Bay rental would be descent. We were excited to find the home to be very well cleaned, excellent bedding, with a layout that was great for families...kids could hang out downstairs while the adults had cocktails on the deck. The decor is tasteful and well appointed. The screened in eating room on the deck made for great dinners while watching the eagle fly on the bay with loons calling. On the days that were cooler, we got a nice breeze through the cabin, and the air conditioning was a nice perk on the couple humid nights we had. The pontoon boat was the kicker, as it allowed for us to experience all that the Manitowish has to offer from picking up a drink at Greers Peir to swimming at Fox Island and at Star Lake. Fishing was excellent this week too! Jake is very responsive if you have any questions. I would highly recommend this place...it's a gem.

Delivers as Advertised
Mani Bay Chalet delivers! is a well maintained, well managed property. It is tastefully appointed, included all the amenities one would need for an enjoyable stay. The Manitowish Chain is an outstanding chain of full rec lakes that offers everything from tubing/skiing to kayaking and is also an excellent fisherie. I highly recommend using a local guide if its your first time fishing on the chain. We used a wonderful guide, Matt Raley from Hideaway Hollow Outfitters. Matt provided everything the boat, tackle and bait and then put us right on the fish! we boated 4 Muskies including a 42" Tiger Muskie in just a day and 1/2 of fishing with him (actual mileage may vary). The fall colors were spectacular and the pontoon boat was a great way to cruise the chain and take in the beautiful northwoods color. Jake is very quick to respond with answers to any questions you have. We will be booking this again.

We can't say enough about how responsive Jake was to all of our questions! He takes very good care of the property. Having the pontoon boat and all of the other boats and bikes made it so much fun for our family. The house is on a very quiet cove of the Manitowish River which connects to some beautiful lakes.

Awesome Place!
I have been a Home Away/VRBO user for years. This is one of best places I have stayed (worldwide). Jake is a great host and was quick to answer any questions we had. This is on our 'Return to Places ' list for another vacation. The house-- nicely outfitted and recent updates; kitchen is well equipped, space is large enough for people to not be on top of each other, large living room and basement rec-room. Great fireplace (we didn't use it- would be great in the winter), The Site-- Jake did a great job on setting up the site, the firepit is large enough for a big group, there is privacy from the neighbors. We had deer walk by the property on at least two mornings (one black bear across the road). The area is quiet without a lot of car or boat traffic. It was easy access to the bike trials-- we brought our own bikes and put on several miles into downtown Manitowish Waters and over to Boulder Junction. The site provides easy boat access to the chain of lakes. We boated and kayaked everyday.

Great Property
The property is well located on one of the central channels connecting the lakes. The pontoon is an awesome inclusion that allows you to boat to many of the restaurants and bars rather than drive. The kids loved the private beach and catching panfish off the dock. Cabin was nicely remodeled and spacious. Jake the property manager was responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!

Peace and Pontoon
This is a great property! What you see on VRBO is what you get. The owner, Jake, was easy to work with and very accessible. The cabin is very spacious and comfortable, and the owners have equipped the property really well (kitchen, lake toys, etc.). This property is on the river that connects the lakes of the Manitowish Chain and the water is very shallow (1-3 feet) and not ideal for swimming, which was not an issue for us. Mani Chalet comes with a pontoon which is super nice and we took full advantage of it with daily rides throughout the chain. Very quiet area that is close to miles of paved bike trails, several good restaurant options, and the best coffee shop (Dixie's) that you will find within 250 miles. We relaxed here for a week and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Beautiful and Quiet Stay
I recently came up with a group of 7 to this property. We had a great stay and there was more than enough room for all of us! Property was super clean upon arrival. Really enjoyed having a fire during the cold nights. Backside of the property was beautiful right onto the lake. Many groups of deer were also walking around so that was fun to see as they got very close!
