BE SURE TO KNOW CHECK IN CHECK OUT TIME IS 2PM MNL
Family friendly. The only thing i don't want here was when we got there I didn't know that check in check out was at 2pm. I got so grumpy because of the long flight and my son was so tired too. But they were very accomodating. If you want to hang out a lot and drink. There's a bar name KUWAGO close to the hotel. they offer cheap local alcoholic drinks.

Convenient location
its a comfortable hotel and fair value at the deal price you gave. However at full desk price it would be too expensive

Okay but not wonderful
The challenge of finding a quality mid-price hotel in Manila continues! The size of the bedrooms in the one bedroom suites varies. The first one they showed me was somewhat claustrophobic. The second one was okay. The A/C was on the noisy side (a big negative for me) but the bed was very comfortable and there was ample hot water for the shower. For a hotel that is not that old, the rooms are not wearing very well and are already showing signs of scuffing etc with loose fitments in places. Also, you cannot make an international phone call from your room - amazing in this day! The price is right and the hotel is fairly comfortable, but and given the choice, I would recommend either staying at the Antel Spa Suites next door (also operated by Best Western) or paying the premium and staying at the Linden Suites in Ortigas. You won't regret it.

Good location for Makati area
We spent a week in a family room. I must say the room was OK. We got help when needing cutlery and plates for our food we ordered. One disadvantage is if bringing more than two items requiring WiFi access, it was not always easy to get the number of cards needed and each card expires after three days. Ordering room services worked great and the food was OK. There is some construction noise as the next lot over in the back is under construction. Also, the room keys had a tendency to stop working. So need to get it reprogrammed often. The breakfast buffet is good, but not that much to choose from. Two elevators, so at times there might be some waiting and queues. All-in-all, we're pleased with our stay.

all right
Overall it was alright. At first it was hard to find due to the surrounding construction that made it confusing due to road closures. Also they had us park in the lowest basement level which smelled and was really hot like a sauna. However the lobby was nice but the lifts was small and no air con in the hallways. The rooms was nice and clean. I like the fact that there was 2 baths in the suite and a second tv in the master bedroom. Also the breakfast buffet was good. I also like the fact that the SM hyper market was just next door. We would stay here again

Confirmed Reservation Not Honored
We had a payed, confirmed reservation for a full month before our arrival. When we arrived the front desk mgr - Joyno informed us that there was no room available at A-venue. Wanted to put us in a condo unit for one night and then move us again. We refused and insisted on the room we had confirmed and paid for a month in advance. After three hours of aurguing, we were finally given a room at Antel. He originally wanted to book us in a totally different hotel. Someone else was at the desk complaining about dirty room and being moved and another group was also waiting for a room when we arrived. Joyno said some people were there for just one night. Appaently he had the opportunity to fill the hotel and get more money for the room(s), so he gave away reserved rooms assuming he could put people with long term reservations in temporary accommodations. When we arrived he took our credit card without advising that the hotel was totally booked or that our reservation was not being honored. Told us to be seated for a few moments and then finally advised that the hotel was totally booked. When asked how this could happen when we had a confirmed reservation - he did not answer just said he was sorry. We've stayed at A-venue and Antel for the past 3 years - will NOT return again.

Not impressed!
This hotel is in the seedier end of Makati. The staff were not really interested nor helpful, we didn't feel welcome here. There are 2 lifts for the whole building. We were originally put in a room on level 5, directly above the convention room where there was a big party being held. I don't mind a bit of noise but our whole room was vibrating!!! After being passed from one staff member to the next, and waiting for them to call us back as they said they would, we went down to the lobby agian, and evenually got changed to a room on the 10th floor which was fine. Originally they tried to tell us there were no free rooms, and we would have to pay for a larger room, after we disagreed, a free room appeared...The room itself was small but clean. About 3 times, our door key stopped working, and even after going down the lifts, letting the staff know, and getting them to renew the key, going back up the lifts, it still wouldnt work... Not great to come home to after a busy day! The good things about the hotel were the staff at breakfast, who were friendly, and the fast free wi-fi. If you are planning on staying one night, this hotel would be ok, but for longer periods of time, I'd pay more to stay somewhere nicer.

Best hotel for your money. Service was great. I would have given them a 5 but the drapes didn't work and in bad shape. The grout on the bathtubs need a spray of bleach and the insulation is not great, that we heard people conversing on the hallway. Also, they need brighter lights especially in the bathrooms.

Good rooms and location, POOR STAFF.
I stayed here twice in my stay in Manila on October to November. The location is perfect, it is very close to Rockwell, Greenbelt and The Fort. Everything is just a cab ride away. The rooms are okay, not that small and has enough space for people who have a lot of stuff. This is a good hotel especially because of it's convenient location and there's a 711 nearby BUT the staff needs some hardcore TRAINING. The duty manager didn't propery address my concerns regarding my complaints. I was complaning to duty manager Laurice and she got a personal call and picked up the phone while I was talking to her which is clearly VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. I reported the incident to the Manager but it seems like they really don't care. Bottomline, if you don't care about service, just location and the room, I would suggest this hotel. But if you care about how the staff would treat you, you will be disappointed if you stayed here. There are numerous staff who were helpful namely CHRISTOPHER who's a bellboy and ANDY who works in the front desk. Everyone else didn't know what to do and seemed always annoyed when you asked something.

great hotel for the price
I've stayed here numerous times and have always been satisfied with the hotel. the rooms are cleaned every day and the beds are comfortable. compared to the hotels in this price range, i really think this is the best value. especially since they have 1 and 2 bedroom rooms. Any other 2 bedroom will run you 40-50% more. If you're on the fence about this hotel and a comparable one in makati, choose this one. If money is not an issue, then go ahead and choose one of the better ones like shangri-la, intercontinental, dusit, ascott, etc. however, water pressure isn't always so great, but not a problem. Also, walls are pretty thin, so pray you don't have noisy neighbors. Traffic is always gonna be crazy in this area of makati. Most taxis out of the area will not want to go here unless you pay 50-100 pesos above whatever the meter says. Traveling 1 mile in this traffic will often take 15-20 min.

Good Hotel for the price...Positives: Free WiFi, Breakfast (get the Breakfast if it's included. Very Friendly and courtious...Short walk to downtown Makati City. Negatives: Free Wifi passwords expire every 3 days and you need to go to the Front Desk for a new one. Loud noise from close Club on weekends...Charge of 70 PHP for a small bag of Ice...(get it next door at the 7-11. for 20 PHP and Bigger bag. Hotel should have Ice Machines on each floor. A/C in Bedroom froze up at times. All in All it's not a bad place...
