"Balsa Surf Camp is like staying with family! It has a wonderful atmosphere, and the location is nice and quiet within a very easy walk to town. For a surfing adventure, everything is at your fingertips and the team are extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed the daily yoga, thank you to the wonderful instructor Darcy Lynch. I will visit Montanita again, and I wouldn't think of staying anywhere other than Balsa. "

"The hotel has very nice grounds and nice view, the closes place is Montanita which is about 10 minutes by bus. When I arrived I was the only guest. The help does not speak any English . The owners are very nice. They come there for the weekend. I had problems with Mosquitos, no hot water. No water, and no electricity. The room I stayed in had very small windows. They have a great breakfast. You should come here only if you have a car"

"This lovely home and area was a great break for my family over Christmas. We enjoyed staying here and felt safe and taken care of for our complete stay. The views were spectacular and the sound of the ocean in the background was beautiful. We would for sure come back here again. You can’t get a better location as it is quieter but within a short driving distance of Olon and Ayampe. The beaches are long and clean and the water was so warm and inviting.
