Abraham Lincoln’s son, Robert Todd Lincoln, used this carriage house in 1903-1905 as he built his nearby mansion, Hildene. The wood in the Carriage House’s handsome bar was once his horses’ stalls!
There’s an outdoor tables and chairs, BBQ and fire pit and hammock in for enjoying the beautiful Vermont weather in summer and fall.
This house is ideal for ski season rentals. It’s just 8 miles to Bromley and 18 miles to Stratton. We offer discounted ski tickets to Bromley too!
In the summer, the carriage house is an ideal base for the nearby Vermont horse show.
My family has lived in Manchester for 50 years. We own the nearby Wilburton inn where you can reach me with questions.
We look forward to welcoming you to VT!
