Stayed here for 1 night and was pleasantly surprised with a lot of things. As it was a last minute booking, I was worried that I would be given a room that was less than satisfactory, however it was perfect for just a 1 night stay. During the time I was there there was a heatwave, so the fan in the room was greatly appreciated. You also get a hair dryer, a TV with a few channels (not quite my taste of tv but good enough for some background noise), a kettle and tea, and plenty of towels. The security past 6pm at the door was perfect for someone who was staying alone, and they checked everyone’s IDs who were coming in which definitely added to the safety of the stay. Check in was quick and easy. My only problem with the entire stay was the fan in the bathroom. The walls are quite thin, but luckily enough my neighbors were respectful and so the most i heard was some footsteps. But I couldn’t turn the light on in my room because the fan was ridiculously loud, and the light outside of the bathroom door was in need of a change. As I was only staying 1 night, a shower wasn’t needed however I can’t imagine staying in that room and trying to have a 20 minute shower with the load fan that probably needed a replacement (this was in room 240). Other than that, the room was satisfactory, interior design could do with a few updates but was definitely a nice vintage feel. Bed was comfortable, so I couldn’t ask for much more!

I really don’t think the room I was in should have been let, small but clean, shower was fine, the window was open but I guess if it wasn’t it would have been very damp, the walls are paper thin, I could hear ever word of a conversation next door, he was on the phone, I could even hear the person he was speaking too! Staff were okay not very friendly

My girl (17 yr) stayed with her cousin ( over 18) for staycation. The hotel insist to have the consent from the FATHER, not me the mother as we are of different surname. What if I am a single mum with the kids? How can I get the consent from the father if he is not contactable?

The building is beautiful and historic and great that she has been saved and reused from once being a Victorian storage Warehouse and now as a hotel. The rooms was good. Tea bags, basic generic coffee, sugar/sweetener, milk & towels provided - Only one tiny bar of hand soap and toilet rolls - The small bathroom needs an extractor fan (No window) for ventilation to reduce/remove the steam from a bath/shower and the two no longer used metal toilet roll holder rods sticking out of the wall are an accident waiting to happen… Breakfast was £10PP on the same day of Check In - £12.99 if ordered the following morning. Breakfast had a variety of choices, albeit basic regarding the cereals and fruit and why were tinned mushrooms an option, but at least the tomatoes were tinned, but deep fried bread too!

Overall good place to stay to be in Manchester as it is a central location. The staff are amazingly kind and friendly and helpful. But have to pay for WiFi, the rooms are clean but the best of conditions.

One female member of reception staff unhelpul and rude to customers. Other staff trying to do there best to help. The property needs updating.The bathroom we had you could not turn individual taps off properly and the shower over the bath leaked. Cant complain about the cleanliness of the room but it was very noisy at night because it overlooked the main street. We initially had paid for the manchester tax through the website we use and it quite clearly stated this but the hotel made us pay again Luckily our booking company sorted this out for us because the hotel are difficult to deal with. The bar staff were good when we had a drink in there. Cant comment about the resturant as we did not use it.

Unfortunately the room was absolutely awful we were virtually in the roof and the room wasn’t clean and smelt of damp I had to book another hotel around the corner and ask for a refund!! Very disappointing and will never ever go back

Stayed here previously when going to see a band in Manchester. Spotless facilities and room. Great pub attached to hotel for a drink and food before heading up to Coop Live arena. Pub doesn’t have a massive menu but food was hot & good. Walked back from arena to hotel in 30mins. Lounge bar for drinks until late. My only issue was the noise from outside was a little loud but window was open due to it being a hot night. Fan in room though if wished to close. Great location, few minutes walk from Piccadilly and all in all a good experience. Staff were all polite & helpful. Would definitely stay again👍

We had an absolutely amazing time at Britannia Hotel Manchester. The rooms were spacious and spotless, with great décor and crisp bed sheets. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with a huge variety of options! The staff were attentive and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable. I will definitely go back.
